Today I received a modded car with this new nitro cheat going around. Will any recourse be taken for owning this car. A friend duped it to me and I can get rid of it if its a problem. I use it for fun not in races but will gladly get rid of it if there will be a chance of a ban in the future.

Mothaf*cker, those nitro cars are awesome!! While I never used them to win races they were but too fun and now I guess its time to get rid of it... Oh well I hope I can still use them in single player.. My Black Beast in my sig will be missed greatly.

 

EDIT- I wonder if those jackasses using nos in races are what caused the outcry and ultimately getting noticed. If so then f*ck those guys, NOS is and will always be the best thing to happen to GTA online as far as I'm concerned. I can't believe they would actually use them to gain an upperhand and now we've been routed!!! Damn cheaters...

Yeah didnt think i was gonna get a response I got rid of my nitro car and I posted something like this last night but ppl wanted proof so there's your proof

 

Just remove the nitro cars and replace them with non nitro ones. no harm no foul

Rockstar are the ones who added Nitro in the last update ..People were just able to get it early ...I don't see why they would add it and then take it away .. I assume they added so it could released in LSC in an upcoming update .

 

They can't remove the cars that have it .. because thousands of people will lose full garages of cars (and all the cars are coded the same as the nos ones so you would lose your cars that don't have NOS as well) !! They may just remove the Nos from the cars......

 

I just hope it is added on Tuesday to LSC!

Actually they can tell between nos and no nos they can run a checksum and if you lose nos cars you lose nothing as you didnt even pay for them so they dont care

Does crew rank even get you anything? Other than crew colour and logos.

 

I am over rank 100 in one crew and over 50 in another crew and smaller ranks for 3 other crews and I haven't got anything other than those 2 things

Of course they can tell which cars have NOS, they have to write and run a simple database query. They don't care if people lose full garages of illegitimate cars, they did the same thing when they swept for tanks, police vehicles, space dockers, etc

It is legit its just not a selectable option. While everyone can use this I guarantee you if everyone was using NOS than this sweep would not even happen because no one would complain about being lazy. there are no hacks involved whatsoever and only creates one of two things, fun and non fun for those who don't know how to research things. I for one used it because there was no harm in it. I don't race and if I do I use my sports cars. If no one was complaining about people having an unfair advantage or everyone was using it, this sweep would not happen. Rockstar only responds to user feedback, remember that.
