As you finish getting yourself ready, you hear a honk from a car horn outside. Your friend has arrived to pick you up. You open the door and get inside the car and ask "Where are we going?" he responds "To a meeting. Do yourself a favor, when we get there keep your mouth shut. Don't speak unless spoken to." The two of you arrive at the place of the meeting and you are escorted inside a room. As you look around you see your friends seated at a table. On the table you see a gun and a knife. One man seated at the center of the table welcomes you and asks you to approach the table. "Do you know why you have been asked to come here today?" you answer "no." "Look around this room. Do you know the men here?" you are asked. "Yes, yes I do." You have been called to this meeting today to become one of us. Un nostro amico! Would you kill for this family, for your friends here?" You answer "Yes." "And what finger would you use to pull the trigger?" you are asked. You point to your index finger and at this point the man pricks it with a pin allowing a small amount of blood to drip on a playing card size picture of a saint. "Now, cup this saint in your hands and move it between your hands as it burns." you are instructed. The saint is lit on fire and you move it from one hand to the other. As this happens the man once again speaks. "If you should ever betray this family, your soul will burn just as this saint burns in your hands." As the flames burn out the ceremony comes to a close. "Siamo uno! Famiglia Omerta!" The other men in the room then stand and applaud your achievement. You are greeted with hugs and hand shakes. Today you have become a made man, a wiseguy, a goodfella. Our continued success depends on the quality of our members and as we grow I will be needing more and more help in leadership. That means underboss and capo positions must be filled with qualified men with organization skills. Soldiers will be placed in a crew and the capo of that crew will be in charge of keeping everyone of his soldiers informed on family news and keeping all lines of communication open. We will not be taking anymore recruits once our membership has reached 50. We must remain organized and manageable but as more men are promoted to capo and are running their own crews, we will once again open the books to new members. I rule this family with an iron fist. Yes, I am a gentleman Don and a reasonable man. I give respect to those who show respect. Some believe they can join this family and not participate with other members or fail to fly the family flag (set this crew to active crew). Doing this made us much stronger and more united as a crew. We also welcomed in two new members who fit right in with the family. Not every member that joins is going to be of the quality we want for this family and it is necessary to take out the trash from time to time. On another note we have taken in some great new members, in doing that we have gained strength and stability. We are still taking in new members.
