The fruit itself is very beautiful, while the taste... well, it doesn't really have a taste even though it is supposed to taste like kiwi. Pitahaya-producing cacti of the genus Hylocereus are originally native to Mexico, but they are cultivated in various Asian countries, so it's very rare here in Morocco, where I currently live. Here is a picture of the dragon fruit: The patahaya is rich in vitamin C, B1, B2 and B3, and minerals such as iron, calcium, and phosphorus. It has some very surprising benefits including: heart healthy, fights diabetes, suppresses arthritis, and it's very good for your skin (avoids acne, and soothes sunburned skin - turn a slice of dragon fruit into a paste and apply it to areas on your face or skin, then rinse with water), without counting that it reduces signs of aging thanks to its active antioxidants. Any Italiano food fanatics in here? Best cuisine ever. Chinese and Indian food is probably the most popular food in the UK, and I must be the only one in my circle who doesn't really have the taste for either. Anytime I suggest an Italian restaurant over an Indian/Chinese, I'm usually met with stares that would burn a ghost chilli, but I sure do love me some pasta; rigatoni rusticuti, deelish. Although I love pickles and jalapenos, but I don't find both of them very compatible with each other. If I'm going vegan, my diet will consist only of any mushrooms, potato, carrot, broccoli, Ceasar salad (minus the tomato), coleslaw, and several fruits. OT: This is my lunch menu when I went out for my sister's sweet 16. Hard Rock Cafe perfectly nailed their ribs and chicken (also nachos).
