Personally?

 

The Content Creator needs a whooole lot of more work to allow us to be creative. Now, almost every race is the same. To make a difference, we should be able to place like, unlimited amount of props.

 

I had this idea to make a sand-race, and place colored tire barriers along the road, to give a very very nice and professional look to it.

 

But I could only make a small part because of the limitation of props.

 

My whole plan was ruined, as I didn't want to make it a short race. (It takes about 1-2 minutes, just like my first race.)

 

 

50 is not enough to be creative with the CC. Why do we have a bar for model memory if we can only place 50 and the bar isn't even changed slightly?

I understand your frustration, maybe better than others as I "worked" with the level editor on Far Cry 3, having certain (some stupid) restrictions in its own ways.
We don't have the choice on the quantity anyway, and that won't change until we get a GTA on next, new, gen or PC.

Evantually you will find a trick to deal with the actual restrictions for each of your future creations, thinking about it and including these restrictions when imagining your race or TDM.

I have also wondered about the model memory bar. It implies we will be able to use more in the future.

 

I took a page from rockstar races though and usually try to not use props at all in normal races I make.

I only use a few props, but that makes the race so, overused. I wanted to put a lot of time in this one, as it was a "sequel" to my previous race.

 

 

Why would it be current gen limits? It are only a few props, and they're pretty much already rendered since it isn't anything new? (Correct me if I'm wrong here, I don't know much about how this all works on consoles)

I here ya. I tried to use all vehicles and props in a DM and I couldnt bc too much model memory.

Remember this is still at BETA stage ! I would take a guess limits will be increased once testing proves the creator can handle it :)

How is it nonsense ?

I perfectly know that it's a beta, but I can bet it's labelled as a beta because it doesn't contain all the game modes than we will be able to make in the future (starting with capture, etc), and I can bet that it is not related to the number or objects, cars, props etc that we can place now.

I'm almost certain that this won't change.

 

The restrictions regarding areas of the map (Fort Zancudo and the Airport) that we can use might change tho, hopefully.

 

The reason there is a "memory bar" is the same reason in free mode you see the same 2 or 3 cars spawn over and over again.

Using / generating 50 times the same object requires less memory than using / generating 30 times 30 different objects, or cars within a certain area.

^This issue is well known in GTA and previous GTAs.

The fact that the limit is set to 50 objects (+10 "others" + 25 vehicles), is because in custom activities, these objects are permanently generated on the map (even tho not always visually rendered).

 

Honestly you should consider yourself lucky that you can place so many (85) different objects in an open world as big as GTA V.

you could look at it as the race is using the whole map instead of just your race(which makes no sense)

FarCry3 even though there was a prop limit of like 30-50 and you could only have 15-25 ai on a map no mater the size, people still made some really good creative maps

ill admit though it sucks having these limitations on the current gen but they might have a some type of fix with the news thats coming out in the next couple of weeks

Cite ANYTHING, provide ONE LINK to where developers have stated this feature is limited to 50 props by the PS3 platform itself.

 

Otherwise everything you have said is PURE speculation based on nothing but your own imagination

 

Much like the fantasy that some people have that players are matched into sessions according to aim mode settings, completely made-up.

I agree. I have seen it repeated a few times that there is a creator update coming....if this is true, it would be exciting to see what is added/changed.

whoa non of us are stating that this is the prop limit like were from rockstar but after playing with some map editors on the current gen they all have limitations and even though we experinced them in the beta they seemed to stay there when the beta was done and the full version took over but FR_Player-One is making good valid points as to why we have these crappy restrictions....also just wait for the PC version to come out then we should have unlimited amount of props cause R* doesnt have to worry about a map being able to run on a 7+ year old system.

now it DIDNT say that the beta is done and where going to full version its just stating that their is a new mode being added....im just hoping that there will be more added to CC

I only messed around in FC2 CC for a short while. But some their creators made amazing maps. R* should take some cues from them for the CC.

I have only played halo for ten mins a someone's home. I dont what their CC does differently.
