We were supposed to get one in GTAIV, so as to why we haven't gotten one yet in GTA V boggles my mind.

What are the stats compared to the AP?

They haven't come out yet, but I'm almost 100% sure it will be strictly inferior to the AP. Assuming Level 1s can buy it right away if they have the GTA $, it will be weaker. Can't have the low level players get the best weapons right out the gate.

But gusenberg sweeper is amazing my go to gun for my lvl 20 character. I think it will be powerful like the sons but have better range. That sans is beast but it has no range

As TexasToast mentioned, R* is not up to par on their firearms knowledge. The one thing that annoys me more than anything is how they have the Heavy Sniper, which is suppose to be a representation of an M82/M107 style rifle. R* if your are reading this 10 ROUND CAPACITY NOT 6. Though the preferred load for someone handling the weapon is 8-9 rounds. 10 rounds R* not 6.

My point is... There is SOMETHING called .50 in this game and probability of another .50 as HEAVY is quite questionable. As a matter of fact, there is no need for another handgun in the game in my opinion especially with that attitude to the details and the fact that most guns are pretty similar with different textures.

Will be a nice change from tha Carabine rifle as my main sidearm (the MTAR is rubbish in my opinion, I'm more about precision accuracy than spraying, hence why I use a sniper mostly)

I probably would be a bit more excited if I didn't already have the AP pistol. Having that kind of makes all other pistols rather redundant. I'll still play around with it from time to time, but I really want is a revolver.

Pffft, I could care less about the new weapons coming in. Odds are they will be either just as good as or weaker than the current weapons available in game. Not to mention the heavy pistol will be nothing compared to the rapid fire AP Pistol.

I wish it was an FN FiveseveN (my favorite handgun) but it is not, it is actually another weapon from, FN, the FN FNP-45 I think.

 

If you look closely the weapon does have a hammer, and the FiveseveN does not.
