I don't think Rockstar's about that anymore. I bet we'll see a VC (or other) spin-off, but they'll probably keep it separate like they did previous spin-offs. I think the best we'll ever get for DLC is impulse trinkets to keep people dropping 5and10 bucks at a time on cash cards.

There was one year between GTA3 and GTA3VC.

 

There was two years between GTA3VC and GTA3SA.

 

Four years between SA and GTA4.

 

Five years between 4 and GTA5.

 

 

...its been five months you entitled bastards. A 12th of the total time between 4 and 5 were released. How about that maybe R* considers what they've got a long term property and not somehting to be exploited brutally for a year before the next version releases (like COD, Madden, or many other big ticket properties).

 

Of course they haven't given you much yet, its clearly not how they operate. If you're as much of a fan as you people claim to be, this should be no surprise.

 

I'd rather have little things handed out to me over the next year or two than have them shoot their load and exploit me for another major product next year. For a crew who whine about how badly cashcards and microtransactions are hurting this game, you sure do sound like you're excited to be pumped yearly for another $60, derivitive product.

If your upset at the rate that Rockstar is releasing updates and DLC's, you must be really angry at 4J Studios.

Some games don't get DLC's at the rate we are. Take Minecraft for example, they haven't had an update since October.

 

 

I'd hate to see these whiners if R* never gave us the Beach Bum Pack, V-Day, Capture, Creator, and this upcoming Business DLC.

 

 

I would be fine with none of those DLCs if they had just given us a major feature that they advertised since launch.

Just because i'm a longtime fan of R* and love every single one of their games doesn't mean that i'm not annoyed with certain things they do.

When they delay games constantly, obviously i'm upset and bla bla, but i just see the disappointment in GTAO, what they hyped up, and could've been something much more.

 

I said this to another poster and will to you:

It's because of the huge fanbase that they've established, they could easily keep throwing out miscellaneous packs like these and keep most not-so hardcore people happy.

 

Think about that for a second, and realize that R* can do whatever they want and get away with it, like Tanks not having to pay insurance and the general/common rant around here.

 

This is a GTA based forum, not everyone nice things to say obviously.

 

5 Months should be enough to judge a game like this and what their intentions are.

I don't think it really is that simple. Consider that TLaD didn't release until closer to a year after GTA IV had come out (even longer for PS3).

 

We've already got more by this point, and are getting more small content in the future, in addition to the expansion that we've known about for a while (it's existence, not what it entails). They could also be working on porting the game to other platforms, for all we know at the moment.

 

Signs as positive as far as I'm concerned, even if R* are sticking to their MO of mom's the word.

Dan Houser did say they'd like to add in previous cities like VC and LC but i'm not sure how they're going to do that, if it goes cross-platform into next gen they'd probably want everyone to have the stuff on both sides since they'd probably lose money, or they could make a sh*t ton of money..

Free to play developers would have sorted their sh*t out by now and delivered on what they said. Rockstar are still earning money from cashcards though, we won't see anything groundbreaking until the sales start to drop.

Yeah, i'm interested in what the Jester will be like, i bet it's not anything like the one in San Andreas and it will look like a generic cheetah/F620 copy cat car.

 

The SA one is based off of a Toyota Supra, with mods it would look really good... Watch this be another lame super car though, just watch.
