GTAO DLC = Insult To Injury

I have to make this topic, as much as it's butthurt, entitled or whatever word of choice you prefer.

 

In my opinion, R* has failed to bring anything fresh and interesting in GTAO's entire lifespan, starting with generic weapons like pistols and machine guns, to copy and pasted outfits and vehicles that were most likely left over from developement of the game.

 

The best they could come up with, is a generic race and deathmatch creator that many people hate due to the poor overflow of content that players have brought.

 

Let's talk about the Business DLC for a moment, 3 cars and two guns. Guns which are generic, a pistol and assault rifle.

They are not anything new or gameplay changing, if they were to make it per say, a Javelin Missile to take out airbourne vehicles, and then add in a flare for the airbourne vehicles to dodge the missiles, that would be cool and NEW.

 

For the vehicles, they could add in Nascars, or Monster Trucks from San Andreas, later on they could use the Stadium for events that includes those cars, make money off of them, the Stadium is perfect as San Andreas had it as well and it actually had Nascar and Motorbike events.

 

In The Business DLC We expected more garages or to even invest in properties and purchase them, since there are audio files from the game that has Martin reminding you that you could make investments and such. (Here is the video with said audio file, it's not mine and i'm not advertising, just using it for reference)

 

 

 

 

 

And for Story Mode they just announced that more Flight School and Assassination Missions are coming, not a new chain of stories or characters. I know this is obviously nowhere near the end of the lifespan's game, but it's been 5 months since GTAO has been released and i feel that nothing has evolved into something fresh.

 

TL:DR GTAO has not evolved at all, just a series of generic packs which include clothing, guns and vehicles. Much more opportunity which has not been used and probably won't be.

 

I say won't be, because the Business Pack supposedly had investments and such into properties. (Read the topic to understand)

 

This is the jist of it, i could say more but i rather not. It isn't a flame or Complaint Thread #743, just constructive criticism and wish to see more opinions.

I agree. I was very unimpressed with the announcement of this new DLC. Give me something that actually changes gameplay dynamics and I'll be happy.

I think it's sh*tty that either of the two updates are classed as "DLC" and I'm totally not caring about the next unless it gives us multiple properties. And if the car has timed availability (indicating a strategy), I will start looking for a game of high enough quality that I can move from San Andreas.

People's problem is that they listen to people speculate to get their news. If you would stop trying to decipher everything, and listen to what those who are unattached to R*, you wouldn't be creating unwarranted false hope.

Reality is we have NO idea what is coming with this DLC other than what they said. They mention business ventures, that could be the current missions or new added ones. We have more material to keep us busy until they give us more DLC.

Relax and let things unfold, and stop being such a collection of whiny babies who feel entitled to something that isn't theirs. I can't stand when people bash sh*t before it's even out to anyone.

If for 5 months, all that they have released is DLC Packs like these, do you think that they would ramp up at all, after the supposed heists?

 

It's because of the huge fanbase that they've established, they could easily keep throwing out miscellaneous packs like these and keep most not-so hardcore people happy.

 

Let's be realistic here, there are hundreds of unique and fun things they could include here in the amazing world they have created, it's a bit like a wasteland at the moment.

L4D2 just dropped a DLC recently...did they miss because they didn't come out with it 2 years ago? Stop thinking GTA Online is a short term project for R*. They came out with their last GTA like 5 years ago. You get everything you want out of the gates, it leaves 0 to look forward too.

Rockstar said "And stay tuned for details about our upcoming Business Update Event Weekend as well as more info to be revealed on future updates including Online Heists, the Capture Creator update, new Assassination and Flight School missions for Story Mode and MUCH MORE..." Who knows maybe they gave baby info before busting the main thing out.

You have no basis for your "cars of no value" or guns that aren't impressive. You literally are basing this on nothing but speculation. I'm sure everything you ever bought was based of a picture....

As long as we are getting "FREE" DLC nothing is going to blow your skirt up. Its going to be rubbish clothes, vehicles and modes. When good DLC finally arrives you will be paying for it.

 

Everything that has came out since GTAO went live should have been in the game from the start. That's why its free.

The only DLC that failed for me was the Valentines one. I bought the olde style gun but I never use it.

 

The other DLC's have been ok.

 

It's still very early in the lifespan of the game of to expect anything major for multi-player and/or story mode is rather expectant.

I have had low expectations of GTAO from the start. I'm not unimpressed at all. But I'm going to be gutted that I won't be able to use rim/utility colours and custom/yankton plates on the new DLC stuff, probably

While the new items are very welcome, I feel like putting in buyable items is not what Rockstar should be doing. Of course, many people had bought everything because of the hacked cash. Any cash you would earn, would just sit there. For that, the new vehicles, clothes and weapons are great. Finally something to spend that cash on.

 

However, once you have enough (and between the hacked cash fix and the small DLC packs was a huge gap), and you've bought the new items, you are back to where you were. You have everything you want, and nothing to spend your cash on.

 

They should release new missions, or activities.

L4D2 is L4D2 though, they didn't promise something revolutionary like R*, the hype was too strong, we expected a lot, it's not really our fault for getting excited. Just re-watch the official GTAO Trailer, they had bandanas as clothing, and FIB police cars on the highway, chasing you. That's just an example of how they cut something out, whether it was small or not. We expected it to be there, like the Heists.

 

And the sentances ''constantly expanding world'' & ''The game combines a persistent and continually expanding world'' that R* has used numerous times, okay, what has expanded? More races, alright, more deathmatches, okay, and uh, more races.
