Good news (Useful Info) for apartment owners.

Okay so first off I want to apologize if this is in the wrong section but I will jump right in. Considering downgrading?? Or even upgrading? Well upgrading from anything to a 10 Car garage is pretty self explanatory, but what about downgrading? The popular belief was that if you did downgrade you would lose your cars indefinitely that were past slot 6 (if getting a 6 car garage) and past slot 2 (If 2 car garage)

 

Alas, I am here to tell you that is is not the case! I had bought an Albany Roosevelt about a week or so ago for my 10 car garage, well it was in Slot 8 in my 10 car garage. Many days later as my garage was full and I grew bored of this apartment I decided to downgrade to a 6 car garage. So I did just that, but without prior knowledge that current apartment garage size is solely based on garage slots and not garage size.

 

So still having 6 cars in my 10 car garage and downgrading, I lost my Roosevelt, but because it was past slot 6!! When I went to social club 2 days later its still showed me as having 10 cars, so I decided to experiment.. It costed me a couple hundred thousand but lets just say you have a 10 car garage that is full, and you decide to downgrade without selling, you WILL NOT LOSE your cars, if you decide to upgrade to a 10 car garage you will regain those lost cars.. I did and was able to sell my roosevelt and make back 496k of the 700k that I had initially spent to buy it.

 

 

 

TLDR: downgrading from a 10 car to a 6 car garage does not mean you will lose your cars.. Upgrade again and they will be in their respective slots. I say 6 car because I did not experiment on a 2 car, but I'm guessing the principal is still the same.

 

 

 

P.S. the Social club takes a while to update as even though I have a 6 car garage, its still saying I have 10 cars even though I sold my Roosevelt, its saying its still there..

 

P.P.S I experimented with a 200k 10 car and 150k 6 car to lose the minimal amount of cash.

interesting bit of news... but i cant ever imagine downgrading to anything less than 10...

Yeah I just thought I would throw that out there. Considering that the there's new cars coming out, downgrading seems idiotic even though I am that idiot... I think its important to keep in mind though nonetheless.

No, he will only deliver whats available in your current garage, however I did stay in my car that was locked at slot 7 and after buying the 6 car, my garage was full, the car I was currently in was still my PV and he could still deliver any of the 6 cars I had in there.. I did not try driving my current car in my garage for fear that I would glitch it further and disrupt my current garage. In theory you could have two PVs out at the same time although I see no usefulness in this.
