Subways in GTA Online: Useless?

I drive down subway tunnels to ditch police, but that's all the interaction I have with the subway.

Escaping heavy wanted levels of 4-5 stars is a huge use for the tunnels. I have actually also used the actual tram itself to evade players. For instance- my car had been impounded, I was in the area by the strip where you can find the Adder in SP. Had a shootout with 2 attacking players in the subway for about 5 minutes, had killed both of them, when the tram opened its doors. They ran down the stairs but couldn't get to me in time and didn't bother hunting down the tram across the map. I really wish there was a passenger car on the train, as the sucker is somewhat quick and goes over all of LS.

I escaped from two guys in tanks by using the subway train today. They had me cornered but I ran down the stairs and jumped on to a train.

 

They later catched up and shot the wagon and it exploded, but the train kept on going. I like the subway, both to escape cops and players in.

I dunno about you guys, but riding the tram is just different and fun to do with friends! We do stupid stuff which leads to the tram blowing up, but its still fun.

I glitched inside the tram so I was able to freely walk around, and do whatever I wanted inside while it was driving(?).

 

Though, it was purely accidental and I don't quite remember how I did it, oh well.

You don't have to glitch into it. At all of the subway stops the tram actually makes stops and opens its doors for about 30 seconds before it takes back off.

No, I mean, usually you enter it, but you can't walk around in it, but I was able to pull out weapons, do actions, walk, and whatnot inside

Yeah, I can do that all when I normally walk into it as well. I was killing players far away by sniper while inside of it yesterday.

Really? Well, I did it in my early days and never really took the subway. I was like rank 12.

It's excellent for evading those high wanted levels, also great when you have a bounty, most players don't even know there is an underground train.
