Unable to load data for Character

If anyone can please help me out

 

"Unable to load saved data for Character 1, the Rockstar cloud servers are unavailable right now. Please try again later."

 

I know some of us have this issue sometimes but it would eventually work.. usually. This hasn't been the case for me for the last few days, the game doesn't waste time in telling me that it is unable to load my character.

 

I checked social club to see if my character is still there, it is.

 

In the game, when I hit retry it takes me to character selection screen and both my characters are at Level 1, also their appearance don't come up, so my only guess is that the game has absolutely no contact with the servers.

 

Is there anything I can do to remedy this?
