I voted Bullet - yes, Voltic - no.

My question for YOU is, should the Ruiner and the Phoenix be categorized as Muscle cars?

I'm thinking no, but curious to what you think?

Yes to both. Further, I would vote to move the Futo to compacts. The Camaro/Firebird and all the other muscle cars are sports cars, that's what they're marketed and sold as. "Muscle Car" is just R*s way of adding another class in between for the older, domestic sports cars. Sports class are almost all imports and new models, sports classics are all exotics, the pony cars needed a place of their own.

camaros and firebirds are without a doubt muscle cars.

A sports car by definition has only two seats so putting any 4 seater in that class would not make sense.

Futo in compacts ? This car is way too fast for this category.

Yeah, and too slow for its current category. If there were a few more cars to fit the bill in each I would be cool with compact and sport compact classes. G37 put it in coupes, that may be a decent fit.

Ford GT is a supercar in real life and the Voltic is based on either a Lotus Exige, Evora or Elise but it's extremely quick compared to those so no to both of them.

Voltic is a Tesla it's electric.... Hence VOLTic
The entire body resemblesa Lotus... I don't know. Point is, it's a lit faster than any sports car, it can out-accel an Adder!. :^:

tesla-roadster.jpg

The Tesla ^ It's built on a Lotus chassis. Know your cars before you spout sh*te

You are completely wrong, ironic since you are blasting the guy for doing exactly what you are doing.

Tesla licensed the elise chassis technology and used it to completely build their own chassis which has several differences.

The differences were to allow the containment of the batteries etc, that is why they had to license the chassis, due to the fact it is pretty much the Lotus design. Add to which Telsa and Lotus worked alongside each other to design the car. There is about 6-10% overlap on the cars ( Elise/Roadster) In the early production, Lotus supplied part assembled chassis.

Well, actually they are pony cars. Please explain to my insurance agent how those "seats" should lower the rate on my sports car.(Their definition, not mine)

If you want to be politically correct, which you're not - the Voltic Coil draws inspiration from more than ONE (Tesla Model S) source. It has a lot in common with a Lotus, in particular the Exige.

Don't believe me? Hopefully you can see some resemblances. Extra large images for you.

There's also hints of the Lotus Elise in the vehicle.

More than hints, it's built on an elise chassis. In real life faster but poorer handling than the elise due to the heavy batteries

I own stock in Tesla I have been researching them since day one.

You are just making yourself out to be an ass because you refuse to do a simple google search.

The fact it has 1,000 lbs of batteries should have clued you in that they are completely different chassis.

No way could you just add that much weight to an elise and expect it to handle.

Which basically says the same as I did, it's a modified Lotus chassis which was due to the batteries etc. They say less than 7% ? Well if you count it part by part yes, ie nuts and bolts. That is just sales jargon you idiot. "The reason we carried over these parts of the car was to avoid the onerous development and safety costs associated with passenger safety and airbag testing of a new design. Lotus had already successfully designed and tested the interior passenger compartment with the Elise and carrying it over made financial sense." The whole interior counted as one part. Do f*ck off now.

Edit:I was calling bullsh*t on you being a shareholder. Whatever

Actually, doors do. This is why Mazda had a brilliant idea of giving the RX-8 the third rear suicide door.

It was a "sedan" for insurance purposes.

Why is this Voltic thing so difficult for you idiots to wrap your heads around, anyways? I assume its some sort of inherent bias because the car's electric or somehting? Whatever.

Real Life Tesla used Lotus chassis to build their roadster. That said, real life roadster was not a Lotus, it was a Tesla.

This is why Real Life Tesla looks like just a Lotus: Example here.

Furthermore, the Real Life Tesla is named after Russian inventor Nikolai Tesla, who's very well known for his invention (ready for this one), the eponymous Tesla Coil.

Hence, Tesla's Coil -> Coil Voltic, an electric car that looks just like a motherloving Lotus but isn't, wasn't, won't be, and never was a Lotus.

Now, can we go back to discussing cash cards or something that isn't quite so infuriatingly obvious for effs sake?

The Futo, with or wiithout the Voltic, is already one of the worst sport car anyway.

Maybe it should be in another category as well. A new one, rally, or drift ? I don't know.

Try me. My friends Nossed futo can beat an adder in a drag race lol!

OT: I think they should both remain as supers, however both could use a little buff to their top speeds. As mentioned already, the Voltic gets smashed whenever there are multiple straightaways in a race and the Bullet just under preforms as a super for some reason.

The Voltic should remain as it is, it is a very good car and can keep up with other supers as long as the race isn't something stupid, which is 100% straight.

But, the Bullet I think, would do a lot better and look much more in its place in Sports Classics, rather than Sports class.

Almost half of the sports class cars are faster than the Bullet already. It's supposed to be a super car IRL though, it should be buffed instead of demoted.

Voltic should probably be nerfed and then demoted.

A Tesla roadster is a modified Lotus lol

Again, why is this a difficult concept?

A Tesla Roadster (note the capital letters, its a proper noun) is a Lotus chassis, but that does not mean it is a Lotus anymore than a an actual real Lotus is a modified Toyota because it uses a Corolla engine nor was a Delorean a Lotus (built on the Esprit chassis) or the Hennessey GT is a Lotus.

Lotus is in the business of selling (and commodizing) as much Lotus engineering and design as they can. Its the reason they can continue to make Lotus automobiles, because I promise you they're not selling enough actual Lotus automobiles to stay afloat.

the Bullet just under preforms as a super for some reason.

The Bullet as fast or faster than the Infernus, Vacca, and Cheetah. It will also happily face off, and beat, Adders and Easymodes as long as you're somewhat higher on the skill ladder than "trained chimp."

(I know BA didn't say that, I can't fix the quoting)

But you see, it was.

As much as I hate qouting the poor man's refernece for everything, here I shall:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tesla_Roadster

Tesla produced the Roadster until January 2012, when its supply of Lotus Elise gliders ran out, as its contract with Lotus Cars for 2,500 gliders expired at the end of 2011.[5][24][25][26] Tesla stopped taking orders for the Roadster in the U.S. market in August 2011.[27][28] The next generation is expected to be introduced by 2018 and will not be based on the Lotus gliders but instead on a shortened version of the architecture developed for the Tesla Model S.[29][30]

So, lemme just check my handy calendar... Yep, its only 2014. Guess it was a Lotus chassis afterall, eh?
