I am happy that games have cash cards available.

I wont buy one for GTA online as you can simply get blown up and all your hard earned cash with it.

Until tanks start paying insurance, and players with zero cash cant blow up a personal vehicle. then I would not touch one.

I voted yes. they are not the root of all evil as some like to make out that they are. No one forces you to buy them and it's of no consequence if another player chooses to buy one.

PoeticWhisper

Do I hate them? No.

Do I buy them? No.

Do I hate the people who buy them? No.

I see why they are there, they aren't hurting anyone. Honestly, so much butthurt about cash cards on here, conspiracy's or whatever. They aren't hurting anyone unless you're a hypocrite who hates on them but still opens your wallet. I have friends who buy them cause they're too lazy to spend time in game for cash. That's fine with me.

Compare cash cards in this game to most mobile games. Some games require you to pay for extra lifes, if you don't you're done for the day. Not R* could take this route, but they won't. Cash Cards are a harmless alternative to people who don't have as much time on their hands as some people, but want to be at a level playing field to some.

Exactly, people on here act like Rockstar is the greediest company in the world, but I think MGS4 is a better example because it is also a console game, that game required you to pay for content rather than unlocking it and you even had to pay for additional character slots, and it only has 4 hours of single player gameplay.

Basically, yes.

As all it gets you is in-game cash, the only thing people can buy is essentially the time it would have taken to make that money legit.

I wouldn't buy them myself, but if they didn't exist, R* would need another way to make GTAO make money, which would either mean paying for DLC, or lots of microtransactions, and I wouldn't buy either of those.

Having a few people that don't have time to make money themselves, or are just lazy/bad at the game buying shark cards, means the rest of us don't have to buy a damn thing.

^^ @reform: you fail to recognize that they already made their money and then some!

.....

I hope this doesn't turn into the "hate on cash-cards' 4v1 battle..

Not sure what you mean by that ?

How many of these threads do we need?

I think we are over the limit, it will be the last i respond in

GTA V is a game with a 25 hour + single player mode, as well as completely free online (cash cards are an option, they are not required to obtain content) and has had free DLC released for it, yet apparently Rockstar is greedy with GTA V, people need to get there facts right, there is no matter of opinon here.

....Cash Cards are a harmless alternative to people who don't have as much time on their hands as some people, but want to be at a level playing field to some.

i would not mind if they offered non essential stuff, i talked somewhere about the valentine $750k car being available for a short time, i have no complaints about the availability of cars,so if there are people that want to spend real money on that ...i dont care, but dont advertise it as free, since the alternative would be ie.: playing 75 (1.09 100+) potshots to get it

to be very clear about my personal opinion;

i was expecting a free roaming game based on fun, not a game that makes you work

i gladly would have paid 10-15% more (after making sure it was worth it), but i refuse to pay full price for a game and then find out that you need to plan and time your gameplay, when i come home from work i want to have a free choice in what i want to do and not have it dictated

i will never surrender to this kind of greed and pay more than the initial purchase price, the gaming industry is getting more and more competitive and i have no doubts my needs will be filled

Yes, because it's not game breaking or a game killer. Anyone who believes that things are so highly priced for cash card sakes is a fool.

EDIT: and let me tell you, it could be a f*ckload worse in comparison to this idea from a wacko Nintendo investor.

Hell no. I do NOT support cash cards. They are bullsh*t that turns GTAO into a pay to win game giving the edge to players who have the extra income to just buy GTA$ instead of having to earn it like the rest of us.

f*ck the cash cards and any punk who buys them.

No I cant say I do support them to be honest, and I dont hack. Its just I was totally fed up of the new era of DLC/pay to win etc that I really got disappointed in R* for joining the band wagon. But, we cant blame the games industry we have to blame anyone who has ever downloaded a game via torrent for free. Same with the music industry, were all to blame in a way. Most people here I reckon hsve illegally downloaded.

Bamboozled - there us absolutely NO point in making a topic just for yes and no answers. This is a forum be prepared for peoples opinions.

They didnt make it pay to win at all though. Pay to win would be you can only buy the adder, entity, cheetah, carbonizziro etc, with cash. Assault shotgun. advanced rifle, carbine rifle, heavy sniper, rpg, tank are cash only. The rest is bought with gta$. Right now you can get some stuff earlier with cash cards. Though things that give you an advantage are level locked and by the time you hit those levels you can easily afford it anyways. I have 10 expensive cars fully modded and a nice apartment. All the guns up to level 85, and still have around 600k without buying a cash card or abusing any glitches. In under 7 days of gameplay. You guys bitch like it is hard to make money and they force you to buy cash cards or have nothing, but that is just not even close to the truth.

The people who bitch about being how hard it is to make money so they cheat are just justifying why they feel desperate enough to cheat in a game. The people who bitch about cash cards just like to complain about sh*t

Yes I support them, ive never purchased one, actually, I don't think I've even looked at them (price and how much in-game currency you get). I may look at them on the 4th though, that depends on the prices of these new vehicles.

I really don't mind them, I don't see what's wrong with them..ultimately it probably allows for more dlc than we could ever get with just two retail purchases of bundled content (which we might get anyway's as well considering the financial stream micro-transactions create.) I've never had to buy a cash card, so really I've just been getting a bunch of free content..its nice.

E•MO•TION

I support the idea of non pay to win based microtransactions that support the employees and developers of games I enjoy.

But keep in mind this poll will be skewed (regardless of the outcome) mostly because this section is inhabited by modders/glitchers who mostly are against the idea.

Right.

Because $1+ billion dollars isn't enough to support the employees and developers of the games you enjoy.

Where is the "don't care" option?

On the top Left hand corner (in firefox atleast) there is an arrow pointing to the left (Go Back One Page)... That is how you vote "I dont care" ;)

Rockstar didn't make 1 billion Take-Two did.

Of course I'm for them. Money is needed to keep the O system running.

However, I'm not going to buy one until there is something that can only be bought with real cash.

Otherwise, in game money is plentiful, and easy to acquire.
