NYC PATROL
Picked up FC3 the other day for PS3 and it's pretty fun. There is one little annoying issue though. There are thin black bars (maybe a half inch or less) on all sides of the screen. Some may consider it a non-issue that's fine but I notice it. It's a little bothersome. I'm playing on an hdtv with hdmi. No other game I've played does this. I tried the zoom feature on my tv and while it fixes the issue it cuts off way too much. Here's the best example I could make of what's going on: (The gray represents the tv frame)Normal, screen filled up to the edge of the tv frame:What I see when playing FC3, thin black bars- screen not filled to the edge: Now I ask you FC3 devs, if that was an intentional cinematic style, why not go all the way and do this? Has anyone else experienced anything similar with the game? Edited February 27, 2014 by NYC PATROL
Mista J
Have you tried adjusting the screen settings or something in game settings? Or maybe try a different screen ratio.
NYC PATROL
Have you tried adjusting the screen settings or something in game settings? Or maybe try a different screen ratio. The only in-game settings under video/screen is brightness unfortunately. And I messed around with a few tv settings like zoom etc. but it cut off too much of the action. I'll def. go back though and mess with some other tv settings to see what I can do. EDIT: So, my HDMI cord just cut out while on my PS3......flat.....gone.....caput...lol I'm going to laugh if when I buy a new one it fixes the issue. Daz
Judging from your first screenshot it looks like you also have a Black Bear Issue as well. But yeah, hope that new cable sorts it out.
NYC PATROL
Haha luckily it wasn't my bear problem. And speaking of new HDMI cables, I was looking at these 2 on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Mediabridge-ULTRA-Series-HDMI-Cable/dp/B0019HL8Q8/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1393521760&sr=8-3&keywords=mediabridge+hdmi http://www.amazon.com/BlueRigger-High-Speed-cable-Ethernet/dp/B003XM1WE0/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1393521805&sr=8-4&keywords=blue+rigger+hdmi If anyone has any suggestions for other hdmi cables I'd like to know! Daz
I just grabbed the amazon own brand HDMI's. Nothing else is necessary.
