Doing Missions With Randoms

I'm open to giving people a chance. And when I say "a chance" I mean "A" chance, one chance, singular.

 

Gotta take risks and put yourself out there to find decent people. It isn't always rewarding but when it is, it is.

Just get the van and get the hell out of there, but randoms just wanna kill everything.

But besides that, so far so good, all the missions I have done with randoms, seem to be fine.

As long as we're all on the same page...

 

I did it with a crew mate who ran in and cleared the compound. Something he did triggered reinforcements to come by road, as I discovered when I started getting shot from behind as I waited at the bridge...

I can tell what kind of mission its going to be when my car gets shot up by "teammates" after we all spawn. I have no problem with randys I'll play with whoever. The ones I avoid playing with are people who are in the same crew or appear to be friends

My only issue when playing with randies is when we have to travel long distances (anything over 3-4 miles) and get split up. Some missions it doesn't matter but others - like pretty much any involving a cargobob, hacking, trailer theft - you really need to present a united front, if only to give the goons something else to shoot at.

 

No-one seems to ever want to wait for the rest of the team to arrive.

I got no IRL gamer friends who are on PS3 so I'm stuck with randoms. I don't mind screw ups because I've failed in some idiotic ways, but shooting up my car or running me over or failing the mission the same way over and over... keep the trolling to free mode.

THESE ARE SOLO MISSIONS why would you invite some retarded squeaker along to fun it up?

 

The only time I EVER invite anyone on a mission is if it is a friend or family member and they are just along for the ride for some cash and RP.

Maybe there are worse players in the Auto Aim lobbies?

 

I play strictly Free Aim and almost never ever have any issues other than the once a week random griefer who gets booted in the next lobby window.

 

I've played with mic, without mic.

 

I've invited extremely low level players and very high level players.

 

I've played with people who spoke English and a lot who don't.

 

Most gamers "get" what they are supposed to be doing.

 

Sure you will have that guy who plays Base Invaders and doesn't realize you only need to get in and out of the plane to trigger the mission and ends up (inevitably) wrecking the plane but hey, it happens!

 

Just today I found two randoms and we made hundreds of thousands together grinding RR.

I tend not to be a passenger on way to the objective, as the idiot driver gets too close and im dead before I exit the car.

Had a random join my Host Game when playing Coveted.

 

He as so in a hurry to pick up the container with the Cargobob and almost stacked it, bumping the Cargobob around and then the container started swinging everywhere.

 

From memory, another random some how destroyed the container...

 

Hosting Pot Shot with 3 other randoms and one of them parks his PV in front of the bridge entrance / exit.

 

Sandy Shore Survival, one random goes and hides away, the game tells us we can kick him out... Then he is requesting for an ammo drop...

In the case of the potshot, you're actually the "random" lol.. No offense but he was trying to use a good strat.

When you're hosting your own mission, it can be an open or closed game, so if you leave it open, randoms can join in.

 

You / I don't invite them.

Me, the "random" in my own hosted game / mission..?

 

Was planning to play that mission solo all along but cause the mission was set to "Open" randoms can join.

 

Good strat? Park PV at the entrance / exit and only he can access his own PV.

 

I acquired then van, then he runs off to kill everything, leaving the exit blocked with his PV...

 

He should of parked PV at the entrance (which he did) we acquire van, then he should of back the f*ck up and GTFO of there LOL!

Yeah, once you get the van, reinforcements will come in, which would probably explain it.

 

Only noticed this when playing with others.

 

Doesn't happen when playing solo.

lately ive been farming rooftop rumble,i will invite low lvl randoms,just to help them out wit a bit of cash/rp,providing they don't f*ck things up like destroying the briefcase ect,I will re-invite them over again

I try to look at the players rank, .....if a player ranked Lower than the mission is set for, i watch and see if they try and learn the mission.......if they are equal to the rank, the same applies, way higher ranked players i expect them to know whats going on, or at least how to handle themselves........

 

Yes random players can make it difficult in the instances the OP stated.....but give them a chance .....its a game at the end of the day
