This isn't the first time this has happened to me. I just played Out of Harmony on hard with three other people, and we all failed the mission due to what I call "Terminator" AI. What I mean is, these enemies not only do not flinch to your bullets, but they also absorb like 5 times the damage they regularly would.

 

When we got to the last section where we had to protect the shipment, I took out my heavy sniper and loaded 4 shots into one of the Lost members. Not only did he not die, but he kept moving forward. I then took out my Combat MG and began to pump bullets into all of them, and they would all have extreme amounts of health, and would only fall once dead.

 

Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a glitch, or some sort of lag? Because all of us got overrun due to the fact that these guys were just pressing forward, each one taking like a whole clip of assault rifle ammo to kill. My AP pistol was useless, as I kept shooting the ones on the bikes, but they would just not die, so I had to ram them all off so they'd stop pursuing the trailer.

There is another mission given by Lester that has the same. You have to put huge amounts of bullets into the enemies.

Seems like some missions were intended to be like this or it was just a glitch.

Thing is, this was when we retried the mission. The first time, the trailer was destroyed (Don't know what the driver did), and all the enemies were normal. Then the second run, at the trailer, everything was normal than just mid-mission the Lost decide to line their skin in kevlar or something. Pretty sure I was pulling off headshots with the Combat MG too, and they just kept moving.

You sure you hit them

It's kind of hard to miss when you are using a sniper with an advance scope.

 

If you miss while using that then you are the worse shooter ever to play GTAO

I just asked because I have never had anything like this. But the way you explain now makes it seem like a bug instead of overpowered AI. I definitely think it's some sort of bug

In the mission creator leaks, you can set the AI to have a certain level of health (like 500% max or something) so it's possible the bug is related to health numbers.

I never really experienced anything like this

I remember thinking how much they improved it from gta 4 where you had to shoot people in the head multiple times with some weapons

 

now in gta 5 some of the enemies seem to wear armor and can catch quite a lot of bullets to the torso but a single headshot has dropped any NPC for me so far

but again nothing like you described, usually a few bursts from any weapon does the trick

I think i'ts that mission where you have to steal the trailer from the docks at lvl 40. On hard difficulty, it took me 4 sniper shots or so to take out one guy so I think some missions are indeed intended to have enemies with ridiculous health% since it only hard 6 enemies iirc

Found it, its called Teaser trailer. It also took these guys alot of sniper shots to kill the enemies

Damn, i want to do "Out of Harmony" again, as crate drops stopped working for me after it worked for a few days. But the mission won't show up on my mission list. How did you start it?

 

on-topic: i think i encountered something similar yesterday when i did that Trevor mission where you have to steal diamonds from Paleto Bay and then escape by boat. The guys following me in the Chopper were basically unkillable, i ended up using all the snacks and cokes in my inventory cause also their shots would cause extreme damage, and i still didn't make it. sucked monkey balls.

I've seen something like this in survivals but not the part with them not falling when shot, heavy body armor and more health happens at the end levels of survival, maybe some kind of bug in the mission, has not happened more then once?

Never seen this. Hope I never do. Out of Harmony is hard enough as is. I've had AI shoot through walls or from a long distance with ridiculous accuracy.

Sorry, it's just one of the few things that piss me off when people use incorrectly, the major ones are

1) Much/Many

2) There/They're/Their

3) People saying "Let's verse each other!" (God dammit, verse isn't a word [at least it doesn't make sense in this case], to say it you would have to say "Let's play against each other!"

Teaser Trailer features similar Terminator type of AI. I barely passed Out of Harmony with one of my buddies on hard. I had to use explosives and my auto shotgun and MG to get it right. They also flank from the right side and push forward on the front line too.

Yeah I've seen this on Teaser Trailer. Has anyone tried a shotgun to see if they will fall over?

 

They pretty much absorb it, takes 2-3 shots of the Assault to down them depending where you hit.

 

Explosives still insta-kill them though.

These mofos piss me off.

It's like one shot kills me from their Glock 400mm yet I unload 15 shotgun rounds into their smirked faces and they survive just to call me a p*ssy or something else.

 

I also think it has to do with lag, as I've been able to one shot chest kill enemies with a simple pistol once so it may be that too.

Yeah OP. I agree. Those that say "Oh, you put the mission on hard" haven't played these glitched missions. Rooftop Rumble on hard do not have enemies absorbing headshots. Out of Harmony and Teaser Trailer do. There are tons of glitched missions. I'm surprised R* hasn't done anything about Richmen In Richman.

 

But back to the point, the A.I are ridiculous. Whoever coded them did a TERRIBLE job at it.

it's happened to me in teaser trailer and another missions with a semi-trailer the name's escaping me right now but i know it's not four trailers but follows the exact same formula (grab semi, drive to lesters warehouse while baddies shoot at you)

4 headshots with a sniper and half a mag of the combat MG. 5 or 6 combat shotgun shells to knock the f*cker over and then i dropped a grenade on his head to finish him off.. seems the hard difficulty is broken.

Glad I'm not the only one that experienced this.

 

I thought it was due to lag or something when I unleashed a fury of lead into the AI and they didn't fall over. But when I think about it, I played a bunch of missions beforehand, and it wasn't like this, but this particular mission that happened.

 

Out of Harmony is difficult enough on hard, but it's hell when Spongebob clones are running around packin' heat.
