Trust me I am not whining about tanks. They don't bother me, I just leave as I know I won't win and for me it's no fun combatting tanks, I'm crap with the sniper rifle. So well done if you can snipe a tank. This is just my thoughts why complaining about tanks is fruitless and why they will never be removed - because R* get rich off tanks.

 

Firstly tanks have no real purpose of being in GTA online in it's current platform except to be used mainly by trolls. They cost $1m if I remember correctly, so that's a big money sink for a persons bank balance.

 

Perhaps if someone really wants a tank when they reach the required level they will purchase cash cards?

When trolls use the tanks a lot of people then decide to try and attack the tank and by doing so many people use up a lot of ammo. To replenish ammo at a later time you need to use up some cash from your bank balance - another tiny money sink. Or even worse pay for car insurance and also don't forget your hospital bill at $500 each time you die!

 

Tanks are just a money spinner for R*, I bet they have made quite a nice tidy sum of money just off tanks alone in one form or another. If R* really wanted to listen to the majority and fix the problem of tanks in game then they would of by now, afterall people have been complaining about tanks for a long time now.

Also with tanks why is it they have unlimited ammo yet us players who don't troll have to keep buying our ammo - tank ammo should be priced too, another unfair thing when it comes to tanks.

I think the issue with tank trolling has been curbed somewhat with the actual level requirement being enforced so low levels who bought it with the glitch can't use it anymore. It's not solved, but I've seen a drastic reduction in number of tanks since 1.10

Given that you now have to reach level 70 to unlock a tank it is reasonable to expect that a player should have easily made enough to buy one. Also, a lot of them will have been bought with gifted cash and cash made from stashing or duping Adders.

I don't go anywhere near tanks but I do enjoy using mine for rampages against police every once in a while.

Tanks have a history in GTA, I'd be disappointed if they got rid of them.

Am I the only one that loves a tank griefer? The challenge is great! Sticky bombs, RPG, heavy sniper and getting on the nearest roof as quick as possible.

I have hardly come across any tank griefers in my time online. When I did come across them and he was repeadtley killing me and other people I just switched lobby and it solved the problem.

Anyways atleast World of Tank is the right place to blow up everything with tanks. GTA Online is kinda better with cars and without peoples wasting everyone's fun with Rhinos.

They are even worse... Tanks have no BS. They don't pay insurance. Only cost $200 to replace. They (tanks) are above the so called rules simply because of 'cashcards'

if you remove tanks where does it stop... trolls/griefers will use somthing else then we have ppl crying about the minigun, rpg's, the buzzard etc, with explosives, passive mode, sniper rifles & find new session there is no excuse for disliking tanks, the fact is ppl let pride & ego dictate the situation, instead of a safe exit either with passive or finding a new lobby the majority will charge the tank with nothing but a machine gun & head full of hope, get killed 20 times & start an anti tank thread, common sense is your best strategy vs a tank.

I have yet to blow up anyone in my tank even tho i own one. Tanks to me are a bitches tool. The only tank kills i have is from sniped twankers.. in which i jack it and troll them with their own tank.

 

 

Same goes with stashing my cash.. I don't grief.. I deal with idiots that attack me and simply don't pay their insurance. Which is easily solved by NOT attacking me for no reason.

 

Sure i can afford it.. I just choose not to give them that joy of "HAHA YOU PAY"...
