Encountered a new kind of hacker last night

first time I saw this was yesterday, lots of people were getting killed at LSC so naturally I go on my tv in the apartment and check it out, they had both entrances blocked off at LSC and 3 tanks on different roofs blasting people.

I know this is annoying but how is it hacking or modding?

 

They aren't using any software or outside systems. They are simply manipulating the content creator to open in a public session, the same way Rockstar created the map we play in.

 

There is a door rockstar can close to fix it, but its not modding or hacking. It's a glitch in the system.

 

Not an expert on cheating bro. Its some kind of exploit.

Havnt seen any of this content creator stuff yet. But whilst playing with my crew yesterday these two people turned up with the stuff I had previously only ever read about. Rockets from pistols at machine gun rate of fire, weird sparkler looking fire things popping up from the ground where we stood, RPG's with bigger blast radius. WTF i have never seen this sh*t before but like I say, I've seen others talk about it.

The random flame things were the worst, we had gone into passive after realizing the two were using mods but those flame things could get us even then. They seemed to be able to make them pop up as we ran around too, like we were being chased by invisible flame people. The weird part is that the graphics on the flame parts looked awful, almost made up on paint.

it was fun to watch, so many people kept going back, climbing over the barriers.. getting blown up. What did they think would happen.

 

Eventually everyone finally gave up, and the lobby cleared out.

Tried the glitch out last night, apparently you can only make props visible and if you're the one doing the glitch, you can't interact with the other players in the same session. You can see them and they can see you but you can't kill them, it's just like you're making a DM but you're still in free roam. All I did was put some ramps around town, and a few barriors too.

I never encounter any of these 'hackers' in free roam. What does a gal have to do to stumble across one?

The guys in the tanks were not having any problem killing people.

Haven't been tuning on here in awhile but came across one for the first time the other day. The guy had god mode and looked like firing what can only be described as airstrikes from his car. Absolutely annihilated everything in his path.
