I wish they counted for something other than being able to determine to some extent which players in a lobby like to do missions and stuff over just free roam antics....

Make the payouts bigger for players having a higher job point total. instead of everyone getting the same amount of cash (missions)........something....

A rumor I heard on here was they're for heists, if you have, let's say a minimum 40 JP, then you can enter a heist lobby. Anyone want to confirm this rumor?

My uncles, god sons, brother went to school with a kid that knows a guy who married a woman that might have been friends with a girl that played video games and her ex bf was best friends with someone who may have worked for a video game company called Rockstar. He confirmed so pretty much yeah.

Job points do have a use, actually, though many don't actually notice it. It was made for competitive playlists, such as races and FFA deathmatches. The Job Points are allocated to players based on their positioning within a job within a playlist. Whoever finishes the playlist with the most job points wins the playlist.
