Writing on a Rock... any idea what it's about?

I found these writings on a cluster of rocks after leaving Trevor's trailer and heading toward the airstrip.

Sorry if it's been covered, already, I have to admit it was a little creepy.

Anyone else seen these? I'm guessing an Easter Egg, maybe?

It reads, "One is done / Two was fun / Three tried to run / Four called 'Mom' / Five not alive / Six is a nix / Seven's in Heaven / Eight won't wait.

It's the infinity 8 killer.

There's a good thread about it on the gta 5 forum, worth reading.

It's one if those brilliant R* additions to the game than will literally pass by >90% of players.

Funny this coming up today, cause I was looking at the map last night and wondering if the 8 shaped roads by the eastern LSC had anything to do with this.

It's weird how in a game where we've all killed thousands this guy has the ability to really creep me out. Finding those bodies was a bit like that Jaws moment.

It's some kind of spell that when read out load forces you to purchase cash cards.

I mean what else could it be other than something to do with cash cards amirite

I met a mystery guy a month ago.I was on a roof of a building in order to snipe someone else that was on another roof. That mystery guy came close,no passive mode,I took a look at him,we saluted each other and the journey began...

I was driving to random places, without any goal. Then,he started marking some locations for us.I had no idea what was it all about...He first showed me a trash can with a flat 8 on it,near that penitentiary in Sandy Shores. After that,we headed some other locations, what I saw there was totally shocking. There was a poem on the rock, telling why and how he killed them.It was a rainy night in real, here.A cold and rainy night,I was alone in home and was able to hear raindrops hitting the window insistently...Darkness fell in the game as well while we were heading for another location. When we arrived at that weird camp on the northest part of the map,it was literally a fear fest! There was an old woman sitting, looking directly to a poster. The mystery guy showed me some other clues about Infinite Killer, the name was Daryl I guess.I was feeling the fear inside my heart,it was so obvious. From then on,he drove my car,I was on the passenger seat, thinking about all those actions of crime he committed. We cruised around for an hour and finally,he took me to the last part of the killing game.It was in that little town where Trevor lives.I'm not gonna say what I saw there.Find it yourself and see what actually happened there...

Bloody shoes hanging from the ceiling, riddles written with blood, fear everywhere...

I spent age tracking all this stuff down. When I was hunting for some of the messages in the dark with a gun/light I was nervous as hell, kept expecting the 8 killer to jump out on me.

Same here! I had that creepy, Silent Hillish feeling, especially when the lobby emptied out except for a single red blip... that seemed to follow me everywhere. But when I went to the menu to see what their name was – I was alone in the lobby. True story! :)

"Too small!" she cried "I cannot read it, for the words are too small!"

If you read the original post, I wrote it out for you, already. Because I cared... even back then. :)

Their bodys are scattered across Los Santos by the way. There's little clues and other hints where to find them. Think the "8" markings were where he murdered them if I remember correctly.

It's just one of those easter eggs that has nothing to do with 100% progress or anything. Just something to do.

Come for the cars and guns, stay for the creeptastic easter eggs. The UFO, the number station on the radio, etc...all great. But the infinite 8 killer is probably the best one. When I first saw the inside of Merle's burned out house, I literally got goosebumps.

The bodies are near Paleto, in the bay

@JoeBoneless, I imagine if you said that outside of this forum, there would be a lot of strange looks thrown at you. :)

Number station on the radio? Please elaborate, I don't recall hearing a station that plays anything else than music or talkshows.

If you don't have anything constructive to say, please stay out of it. Apparently there are still people who don't know about this. (Weird huh? I know, after 3 years you'd expect everybody knows about this) Maybe they never played SP, maybe they just never noticed. Just report it instead of bumping it if you don't like it wannabe-mod.

Are the bodies there in GTAO or just single player? (I've never been arsed to look).

I never looked either, but i'd guess they're part of the map and thus would also appear online since the map is loaded locally and not from a server. It wouldn't make sense to have 2 different maps. (At least to me, I could be wrong)

Look up the infinity eight murders. It's an interesting thing they put in game

You even find the hut where he used to live in Sandy Shores and near a shed a newspaper article telling what happened to him. Incarceration and speculating he might have been gay since he killed male hikers.

BTW: Nice necrobump topic :)

Number station on the radio? Please elaborate, I don't recall hearing a station that plays anything else than music or talkshows.I'm not sure if it happens in GTA online, to be honest. I've only encountered it a couple of times in story mode. But if you're listening to one of the talk radio stations, and you get to that area where you start to go out of reception range for it, especially late at night, occasionally it will change to a creepy monotone female voice reading out a string of numbers.

Its based on the real phenomenon of number stations. Nobody knows for sure what they are, but many have speculated that its a way for governments to send coded messages to spies.

Sorry for not clarifying in my original post. I just figured that pretty much everyone had encountered it by this point.

Not strictly true as the map does alter slightly as you play through the game (The plane crash, pulling down Martin's house, Benny's lot)

Cool, never encountered them. Hadn't heard about the real-life phenomenom either. Guess it's time for me to spend some more time in SP again.

Agreed, there are some dynamic events on the map, but the bodies are static and there from the start. That's why I guess they would also appear online.

This is the second half of The Infinity 8 killer Easter Egg, that began in GTA San Andreas. The first half was CJ and a few other members of Grove Street on a mission in the desert. They found an abandoned truck and some body bags being dumped in a pit, but nobody around. Then they came back to the same spot later, the bodies and the truck were gone.

So in the first half, a few gangbangers almost caught him dumping bodies in the desert. In the second half, covered in GTA V, he had already died in Prison. It might've been a good side mission for M, T, and F to have discovered who Infinity 8 killer actually was. Especially because his house was right down the street from Trevor's trailer in Sandy Shores.

Guys, it's much more simple than you think. I spent a minute to figure it out. That writing is about the GTA installments. 1 is done, 2 was fun (it was, really). IV called 'Mom' (remember, there are two songs called "Mama" in GTA IV!). And yes, V is f*cking dead.
