Graven
being rich can make you happy though When You pass certain amount of monthly income, your happiness will not grow more. And it´s a fairly low amount we are talking about, something like 2500€/month. And if You get lots of money, there´s a big chance of downhill there. I guarantee You won´t be feeling happier for a long time. Because after awhile, being rich will become a normal thing for You. The moments of happiness You get from material pass away very quickly. Celebs are not happier than "normal people". Happiness is not for sale. Best thing You can do is to do things You like and live your life like You really want. ShadowDog94
Buying ten new cars a day You have got to be kidding me. Not too many rich people do this, and a lot of large car collections build up slower than you think. If you are a car enthusiast, believe me that receiving your new car every once in a while will make a very, very great day to remember. Okay, but thanks for completely ignoring everything else I had to say.The answer is clear though. No, they do not always live happier than regular people. I mean not everything is just handed to them, they work hard. And being a celebrity would be hard for me as I prefer a quieter life without getting a lot of attention and/or paparazzi. I mean this question, you basically answered it within your "question". Yes they get to buy more stuff and basically what they want, and that can be satisfying and it somewhat helps you live a happier life. I don't see how material possessions can help you live happier though. If I I had more money I'd still be the same guy who lives a relatively boring existence. The only thing that would change is that I'd buy more stuff, which doesn't seem significantly life-changing to me. It wouldn't make me more friends or inspire me to actually get out of the house more. And with celebrities, all the added stress that comes on top of that doesn't seem worth it IMO. Other people use their money differently and so it effects them differently. How would I change for the better if I were richer? How could money make me happier? I would do a lot more stuff with my family and go on expensive trips with them. Buy a car that I love and do road trips, join an exclusive car club that allows for even more fun and intriguing road trips and meet ups and opportunities to meet new people. I know what I would do if I had more money and it would be more than just splurging on 20 cars a year, buying a stupid big house, and getting bored doing nothing. Frank Brown
Well, happiness is subjective. Having a ton of money, being able to buy whatever you'd like, and doing things that a lot of other people can't might make you happy. On the other hand, living a poor life and bonding with your fellow man could be your key to happiness. Working a farm in Thailand could be it, being the richest man in the world while you crush everyone who grovels for a penny could be, also. It depends on the person, honestly. Gnocchi Flip Flops
Agreed. I'm pretty satisfied with my life now but money would allow for what seems to be missing like taking trips or moving to a better neighborhood where people don't blast their music and don't have houses less than 10 feet away from yours. Fireman
Celebrities which are poor are the worst off, they're probably unhappy as f*ck. Imagining not having money and people taking pictures of you to show everyone how poor you are.
Frank Brown
Personally, I'd love to be famous, but for good reason(s). I wouldn't want to be famous because I played an awesome role in a sh*tty movie, but because I did something helpful for/to a lot of people. Johan
Slightly happier because of the money.. but definitely not a better life style for them.
Sneakyy
I think the suicide rate amd rate of premature death amongst celebrities points to the obvious. Some are good at managing it and can live a great and happy life. And some just can't handle it (were all looking at you JB) and end up dying alone in their posh hotel room because they have alienated everyone close to them and get depressed because they have no real friends
