Locust Eileen Turbo

253207_10150950006223844_1876449721_n.jp

Manufacturer: Locust

Design: Lotus Elan S2 crossed with AUS Ford Capri.

Interior: Very "retro" with a modern steering wheel and bright green virtual dials. The seats are imitation recaro, very low with high sides. Can spawn with top up, spoiler, or even occasionally with steel bracing tubes in the door areas. Colors range from a bright, vivid "sunburst" yellow to a deep, dark British Racing Green. Rims look like the ones in the picture.

Performance: Grippy as a motherf*cker, slightly above average speed with excellent cornering, mediocre acceleration, very easy to total however.

Price new (1992): $18,500

Price used (2014): $16,000

Songs I listened to while writing this:

Lotus III - Metal Machine

Locust? Heh, that reminds me of a car from GTA London 1969 :p

Yeah! Haha, you could do a Fiat Panda called a Fat Grizzly or something... Though Grizzly is really better suited to an offroader vehicle. XD

I should have called the NB the Bug but I felt like it was too close to IRL so I figured Gnat fit well, seeing how it's small, agile and super common. :p

Common? I rarely see one in areas closeby to me. Well it depends on the country I guess :p

Willard Panther

W0G23TVl.jpg

Manufacturer: Willard
Design: 1999-2000 8th generation Mercury Cougar. It would be in the Coupes class and would have the usual mod options at LSC like similar vehicles, such as spoiler and body kits.
Interior: Copy and paste of the Penumbra or Prairie.
Performance: A sporty coupe that has a better suspension and more traction than the Penumbra and Prairie but less horsepower than both of them.
Price: $25,000

Note: Vapid might have worked as the manufacturer too. But as Mercury was a division of Ford, I went with Willard. Other Willard cars are based on Olds and Buick, which are brands of GM

I'd have called it the Willard Wildcat myself, but good job! An underappreciated car with a lot of potential. :)

EDIT: I also just remembered, the GTA version of Mercury is called Dunreary. :p

Dundreary is a Vapid brand based on Mercury and Lincoln, so you should of used that.

Chariot (Romero's manufacturer) is based on Lincoln.

Actually I'd think Chariot, going on the name alone was a coachbuilder rather than a legit manufacturer.

Kasten

73vw_lftfrt.jpg

Manufacturer: BF

Design: Volkswagen Type 181 "Thing"

Special: Can spawn with no roof, soft-top roof or hard roof. Infinitely modifiable at the customs. Potentially capable of driving in water?

Gazelle

Manufacturer: BF

Performance: Like the SA Injection, but with better on-road grip and worse off-road, slightly slower.

Price: $17,000

Special: Roof up, roof down.

Chariot is NOT Lincoln, it's just your average coachbuilder.

Banshee

Manufacturer: Bravado

Design: SRT Viper GTS

Performance: Better than the current Banshee, with an improvement in acceleration and top speed. It's handling remains the same.

Price: $90,000

I think that this thread should disallow things like this. Do we really need a hundred cars that are the same as their in game equivalent, but "Faster" or with "GT" tagged on the end? How can it in any way be considered creative to simply badge engineer and "Upgrade" vehicles that R* created?

I admit I do do the "but faster" thing with some of my concept cars, but I usually elaborate on how much better the car is compared to the one its similar to in a previous game.

Lokus 2.0t

zWeP078.jpg

Manufacturer: Emperor

Design: Lexus CT200h F-Sport w/ few concept Lokus 3.7t resemblances. Comes w/ various tacky 'sporty' styling cues, 'sporty' black mesh, 'sporty' smoked wheels, 'sporty' white calipers, LED daytime running lights, and a sunroof.

Interior: Same as the concept Sultan 3.7 but tan.

Performance: Albeit the car is supposed to be sporty and has t for turbo in the name, it is not sporty at all; in fact it lacks a turbocharger. Handling is extremely similar to the IV Dilettante, especially since its a hybrid and it has IV Dilettante underpinnings, and there is not much else different other than the fact that the steering is even heavier.

Price: $38,900

Cootie

XCriFWZ.jpg

Manufacturer: BF

Design: Volkswagen Beetle Turbo A5 w/ few changes and minor edits. Comes w/ a large sunroof, dotted LED daytime running lights, 'sporty' red calipers, a duck rear lip spoiler, and matte aluminium mirrors.

Interior: Same as the IV Uranus but partially beige.

Performance: Handling is surprisingly quick, nimble, and soft sprung. It is comparable to the concept Club but is slightly slower and slightly less agile.

Price: $33,333

Ehh, I can kind of see that, it SORT OF sounds like a Chrysler K-Car name, but I was thinking it had the alliteration thing going plus focusing is, sometimes anyways, something you do with your eyes. :p

The Vision is surprisingly the name of a Chrysler car, but on a different platform.

Anyways,

I actually did this because I thought of it as a new generation of the Banshee for a future game.
