(360) GTA Online Olympics; Grand Final

Well, the 'real' Olympics are done, so we're going to wrap ours up as well. It's been a great ride and a ton of fun meeting new peeps and coming up with whacky events for the sessions. But all good things must come to an end.

 

Proposed Date; Saturday March 1st 12pm EST / 9am PDT / 5pm UK

 

We're now approaching the final road to glory... which is to crown a grand champion. We've had 15 events so far and the standings are;

 

Zoobz - 16pts

ItzReality - 13 pts

DS Monkfish – 11 pts

AyeRub – 8 pts

Nato - 7 Pts

DeaJinx - 7 Pts

Scoobriod – 6 pts

Panic Attack3r - 5 pts

SenorMidget - 5pts

BeanzInApot – 4pts

Wanes - 4pts

Skiddy - 3 pts

GirlyBird - 3pts

Soran - 3 pts

Sugar Free Nos – 2 pts

Trisma - 2 pts

Lonesome Drifter – 1 pt

 

And for the finals the following 'athletes' will be asked to come back;

We will be running 5 Events and the player with the most points at the end, will be declared our Grand Champion. The events include fan-favs;

 

Cargobob Relay

Issi Sumo

Frogger

Triathlon

Demo Derby

 

(and if we need a tie-breaker, it will be "Meat Shoot")

 

The winner of course gets this;

 

 

As always let me know if the day/time works and we'll get that sorted. It is my birthday this weekend (March 2nd) so I want to try and get it done a bit earlier than past events so I can have some beer and enjoy the evening. I just thought Saturday would be better since some folks have to work Monday etc (and I should be kinda hungover Sunday methinks)

 

Extra spots for those that want to come watch (or even participate as a spoiler) will be available, (lookin' at you Wanes/Girly)

Woop Woop.... just under 24hrs gents. Again, if some of the peeps that aren't actively taking part want to come hangout, that's fine. Gonna be a bit of a Bday party for me... beer shall be a flowing. Lookin forward to having some fun

Ok troops... gonna start getting into the groove shortly here. If any of the past contestants want to come along for the ride (though U won't qualify for the title) or just come in to watch, let me know and I will add you. At the end of it all it will just be a good party (and mass killing?) once we're done. It's been a fun ride and we should go out in style!!

 

Again, I can't say it enough, THANKs to everyone that's been part of this... great fun. We'll certainly do more events, just under a diff name since the Olympics themselves have run their course.

lol apparently I'm brain dead - yea it's today. Just fixed the date. And yes, no worries... not for 2.5hrs m8. But, since it's my Bday this weekend and I am partying today, I can spend as much time as I fkn want online.... weeeeeeeeeee.... so I am just making some races and starting to get my head sorted for today's events. No worries, still got a few hrs

 

Don't forget folks, we need bikes for the triathlon, don't have one? Please do grab one before we start. Also, gonna need a couple Issis, gonna sell me Adder to get one (no room in the garage, and don't use mine anyway)

 

The Cargobobs shouldn't be a huge issue, we all have those and can find em easy enough

Its cool someone finally did this. I made GTA olympics back in 2001 on gta3 with a pass the controller vibe. Was cool, had eloads of different events and such, did it for IV too. If you run them again I'd be willing to help
