Guaranteed hard top banshee?

Wanna buy one again. Had one during the big bucks days. It wasn't a hardtop though.

 

Looking for peoples choices. See if there is any trend of how to get the hardtop. Colour etc.

 

Yes there is probably a thread about it. Ages ago though and still inconclusive.

It depends on the first time you see the car

Like with the infernus

If you buy it while standing in your garage and wait for it to spawn infront of you it has no spoiler

If you outside of your garage but it then have your mechanic bring it to you it does have a spoiler

You just got to figure out which one of these produce a hard top banshee

I heard that if you chose blue as the color of the Banshee, you got a bigger change of getting it with roof. Read it here on the forums yesterday, if it's legit or not I don't know, sorry.

it's just random. Certain colors making it more frequent is simple bs. You just have to get lucky, I had to buy 3 of them to get my hardtop. But since you can finally sell online bought cars, it's not such a hard loss as it was before.

This is one thing that pisses me off in this game is that you can't actually choose the configuration of the car. Pretty f*cked up

I remember the billionaires days when i wanted a hard top Voltic, it took me about 50 tries to get it so that's about 7.5mil wasted, good luck OP you need it.

I've bought it a few times and always get a hardtop when I buy a blue one. Every other color I've bought it's been a convertible but I'm 3 for 3 on hardtop blue ones.

I've not bought it yet. And to be honest, any car I've bought before like the infernus has always been away from the garage. And I've had both configs of that. I'd love to say you are right but....

Not true, when I sold my carbonzaire at LSC I came outside and ordered a Yellow Infernus and had my mechanic deliver it to the mod shop and it had NO spoiler. This was when the mechanic actually drove the car to you. I ordered the car at night time on a Saturday if anyone wants to know the specifics.

 

I only ordered the Banshee once and it was a hardtop, it was the Black version and I ordered it from my garage.

 

Is there anyway you can order a car and if it comes in the wrong version you want, you can cancel the order and rebuy it without losing any money? If you try to resell it they only give you about 25% of its value.

 

Such as unplugging your Xbox or router? Signing out or dashboarding? Would that negate the purchase?

Buy one, then if it's not a hardtop, save edit one because you already paid for it, and it's not your fault the game is dumb!

Save edit? How do you do that on Xbox? I don't have any mods or anything to my Xbox I play legit. But if it means that I can add a hardtop or remove the spoiler on the Infernus thats not really cheating IMO.

I dunno why rockstar just can give the option of what configuration you want. I mean you can get a seperate hardtop 9f. But with the infernus, banshee, elegy, stinger, coquette, voltic and I'm sure there are more...it's just pot luck.

Yup it's very stupid. The Rapid GT you can choose the standard or convertable one too. It's disappointing that some cars like the Banshee and Voltic etc. don't have this option. Could at least let us change that stuff in LSC.

OK I can confirm that in single player I ordered 5 infernuses in yellow and all 5 came without spoilers. And once in single player in yellow and came without a spoiler. Banshee always came in convertible so far

Every time I order blue, single player and online, it came as a convertible.

 

That being said, I don't think color matters.
