just did this and got it to work but it only gives you a hundred thousand for an adder instead of the six hundred thousand...oh well better then nothin

For 100k it's easier to use the impound/ mmi glitch to dupe buffalos and sell them.

Pull car you want to dupe out of your garage. Get a wanted level and let the cops kill you. Call the mechanic to deliver a car to you. As soon as the call end hold select and pull up the options menu and spam x on request personal vehicle. The mechanic will deliver your impounded car. Call mmi and recover the impounded one. Drive new one to garage. Just check that your car is insured before trying this.

For me its easier to instead of holding select after the mech hangs up press select during the car choosing chosse car and spam x of course is not gonna be insure once you call mmi but it doesn't matter you can do this with the adder and do the buggy glitch at lsc to sell it it sells for 200000 its not too much but it helps me get some change
