So, yeah, after a month or so of searching, I finally found a Phoenix, completely by chance.

I took it immediately to LSC and did as many upgrades (90% of them) as I could afford.

The plan was to take my old Ruiner in and sell it, then use the money to complete the Phoenix.

Ah, but no no no... When I'd checked before, the Ruiner was worth quite a bit of cash, like $89,000 I think.
However, when I took it to LSC for the sale, the offer was set at the $10,000 point which I've read about here.

No, I can't afford to finish off the Phoenix now, which stinks, but which is still cool cuz I have it now.

Funny, never thought I'd find myself grinding again for enough cash to buy a spoiler or a secondary paint job!

Just don't put that ugly big spoiler on it and you'll be fine. Its a Pontiac trans am Firebird 'Imponte Phoenix', not a dodge daytona or a plymouth superbird.

 

Nice&clean like mine for example.

you do relize this is a forum and you can re-read things. op fell in love with a car, car wanted expensive clothing, op tried selling his x-car, x-car didn't like being sold like a cheap whore. op comes here to cry not knowing what to do. what did you miss?

Seriously? I have underwear bands that have quicker draws. Not for me,sorry.

Rockstar must me pro Ford (if that's the case,deal our mayor an 8 ball). Any Chevy product suck's yet,The Dominator is the hard ass and anything next like the Camaro thingy (can't think of the name) sucks in this game.....really?

i too found a pheonix yesterday i changed the primary paint to carbon black, but i left the seconday paint which s race yellow and i did do some upgrades to it.

On a side note, why did Rockstar have to put that ridiculous Mopar spoiler on a GM product and make all the Ruiner mods rice rocket crap. This is the biggest thing that bugs me about Rockstar. Putting a VTECH engine in a 2014 Stingray, really Rockstar, really.

R* has no taste when it comes to modding cars. They are nothing but a bunch of YOLOSWAGS.

And some nice glass panels for the roofs like it had in GTA IV. Now there is just nothing or the closed panels.

I think R* did a fine job of splitting the style differences between the 2. Without the skirts and chin extensions the Phoenix has the Superbird lines. All it needs is the bullet nose extensions. With those mods and the T tops it makes a nice Trans Am.

 

The Trans Am is not nearly as rare as the Superbird / Daytona and you can make a decent Trans out of a Ruiner! and NASCAR never banned a Trans like they did the Birds wing.

 

It's a personal preference thing with the Superbird more of a Redneck / NASCAR following and the Trans more the choice of the Saturday Night Fever crowd.

Really the only thing that they have in common is the wing. I agree on that everyone has their own style and all that but eh.. R* should have added it to the Virgo or something with a bullet nose. Or even better the Dukes from GTA IV with that wing and nose. Now that would make a nice Superbird/Daytona

I wouldn't say I was "crying," rather than just sharing an experience. You're right though, I did actually fall in love with this car and made it a game objective to get one. What I didn't count on was that the Ruiner would sell for chump change. I heard of the low pay-out, but was surprised. How much do we put into the expense of these cars? $50k? $60k? To get back a fraction of that "investment" is worthy of shedding a few virtual tears, but really, I'm just stoked that I got the car.

 

Next up: Romero Hearse. ;)
