I need moddel riggers, scripters etc. Its a game which revolves around a man called Robert D'costa, who enters underworld unwillingly and now onward he wants to rule the world. I'm making some artworks. I will be making artworks and will be doing some 3d modeling and the story line and the concept of the map. I just want some scripters and model riggers and gui designer etc and others can too join if they want. So anybody interested in these project please reply.

Hey guys, I'm making a game, but I want you guys to make it for me.

He didn't say that, Did he?

He said he need it scripters, modelers etc

It's almost like saying R*should only be composed of one employee, more would mean they're just making the game for that one person.

Then again, You are a complete f*cking moron, don't know why i expected different this time. Same goes for the other people, If you aren't going to help, it'd save the trouble of making an assn of yourself. /rant

I'd recommend checking out nexusforums or Moddb, OP

They usually have modelers, just contact one of them

This person has almost certainly never made a game. I'll outline why what the OP is saying is stupid, since you can't seem to see why.

First, they say they're making a game like GTA in cryengine 3. They can't code. Therefore, they're not actually making a game in Cryengine 3 - they want a game made in cryengine 3. Also, the idea that it should be similar to GTA is laughable, since that would require a large project of someone who actually knows about game dev. Also, I would not be surprised if they chose cryengine simply because it looks nice->game will look nice. Yeah...no.

Second, they say the skills they have in relation to making the game are artwork, modelling, storyline and map concept. I'm going to take artwork literally as promotional artwork, not texturing. This means for the final game, they'll be making some 3D models and ideas (since story and concepts are literally that, ideas).

Now, have you ever seen this? This is a widespread misconception that you will see in any game dev forum or community - a new person comes in and thinks that simply having an idea for a game is good enough to have one made, and asks for others to script, texture, rig etc. the game for them simply because their idea is good. This is stupid. Especially since their story idea is pretty naff, meaning as a project leader they'd be bad.

If this needs explaining, ideas are easy to find in the game dev world. Everybody can come up with dozens of ideas for games that can be made into good games - the actual hard work is making the game. So, supporting my and Lazboy's comment, this person wants a game made, but they will not make it themselves. It's not a project, it's an idea.

The people over at nexusforums and Moddb, as I've said, have seen this sh*t hundreds of times before. They will not help the OP for the reasons I've stated, maybe they'll be nicer.

For actual advice, if you are able to model well, then try joining a team, make some models for mods, or try learning to scripting to learn to mod yourself.

Maybe not, But at least the people there won't act like total pricks without offering any real advice,

Secondly, You all seem to miss the point, Op was looking for help and all you were able to help with are some half-assed snarky comments, I wouldn't be surprised if you were this much of an ass in the real world..

Misbegotten cad

Hello

Last night I came up with another idea for your game:

A wizened old gangster fakes his own death and teams up with a young pup to take over the city from his former friends.

Catch is that the game is set in the future, with flying cars! Bit like in the movie 5th element! HEre is the opening scripted for your perusal:

London, year 2050

A glittering, multilevel city. Flying cars and trucks zoom about in ordelry rows amidst the skyscrapers and floating business- and pleasure palaces.

The camera zooms in on a black hearse, floating sedately in a busy crossroads, about 200 metres high in the air.

The driver is a young white guy with tousled, dark hair. He is listening to Rolling Stones and tapping the wheel absentmindedly.

Behind the driver rests a polished, oaken coffin.

Suddenly, the coffin pops open, and out hops a small, wizened old geezer, blinking in the light.

'What the heck!' cries the driver, twisting around. 'Who the heck are you? And where did that expired old lady go? Oh, wait; Did Steve put you up to this?'

'Name's Tony Fontane,' says the old geezer. 'And who the heck are you? Where's Larry, my driver?'

'I'm Roger. From Dorwiczh funeral services. But wait a sec, you're Tony Fontane!'

'That's what I said,' answers Tony caustically. 'The last Gentleman Godfather of this god forsaken city.'

'That's not what the papers say,' snorts Roger, having quickly recovered his equilibrium, and nodding to an early edition of Times on the back bench.

Tony grabs the magazine. 'Psycho Butcher tastes his own medicine', cry the headlines. 'A merciless mafioso OD's in his own penthouse.'

'Well, whatever,' shrugs Tony, tossing the magazine aside. MAin thing is, my fake death was a success. Now, if you just zoom along to the Beneficent Cemetery so I can join my crew...'

'Beneficent Cemetery?' asks Roger, puzzled. 'But that's miles away!'

'Now that's odd,' says old Tony, starting to look suspicious. 'So where exactly were you going?'

'To Dorwizch Funeral Servises. You was supposed to be cremated hours ago but there seems to be something wrong with the traffic contol this morning. I've been squatting on this very crossing for a better part of an hour!'

Tony goes pale, or rather, paler than usual. 'Cremated,' he hisses. 'Those sons of bitches. They doublecrossed me. Tried to turn a fake death into a real one. Dammit and blast it. And if not for the crappy traffic of London, they would have succeeded. Hey kid!'

'Yeah?'

'How would you like to be the right hand of Tony Fontane, as he literally raises from the grave, takes revenge on those who betrayed him and fights his way back to the top of this city?'

'I'd rather not???' answers Roger. 'If it's all the same to you.'

'Okay,' says Tony, reaching down to the coffin and pulling out a huge wad of cash. 'Let me put it this way: would you like a hundred thousand pounds. Tax free.'

'Hack yeah!' cries Roger, being rather quick on the uptake when money is concerned. 'Where to, sir?'

'Where are we?'

'Hammersmith, sir.'

'Hammersmith, eh. Good! Take me to 27 ground, Eal Street. I got an old friend there. Molly.'

*********************************

At this point the player is introduced to driving the flying cars, as he needs to navigate the hearse to the correct address

At mollys, Tony asks Roger to go and cremate the empty coffin and then return. Again, player takes control of Roger and does all the required driving and cremating.

*********************************

'Here are your ashes, sir,' says Roger cordially as he returns.

'Nice urn,' comments Tony, setting the urn at a sideboard. 'Shame I don't have a mantlepiece to put it upon. But I do have a piece! Check this out, Roger!'

'A genuine URA machine gun,' hisses Roger. 'capable of firing high velocity uranium bullets at 200 rounds per second!'

'You know guns? Why, Roger, you surprise me!'

'Ummm, yes and no... I play a lot of GTA XII...'

And from there it starts! The heady adventure of the two will take them through dozens of exciting missions, where the player controls both Roger (driving and stealing) and Tony (fighting and shooting). In the way, they bump into Tonys granddaughter Maria, who starts dating Roger.

At the end of game, Roger needs to make a decision. HE can either choose to give Tony to the cops, and start a honest life with Maria, or he can choose to stick with Tony, in which case Maria lefts him.

Great thing about this idea is that you can get funding from Mafia (they will see it as money laundering...)

Misbegotten cad

few more ideas for a plot:

Berlin, Berlin

The scene, divided Berlin in 1970

The hero is Jurgen and his posse. their mission: to smuggle goods into east berlin, and smuggle people out of east Berlin.

Around this simple theme you can create a great and interesting GTA clone.

Billy Bonkers and the Grand Theft Candy

Billy Bonkers owns a candy factory. One morning he wakes to find out that all his candy and his candy making machines have been stolen!

So, Billy starts his mission to get back every piece of candy and candy machinery from the evil criminals of the city.

And more machines he gets back, the bigger his income from his factory, and bigger guns he can buy. He can also buy shops and turn them into candy shops.

This would be for younger players, so the weps and cars would be cartoony. This means you would not need to care about authenticity or realism.

My purpose with these ideas is to show you that you do not need to stick to the old formula. You can be creative, and make a totally different GTA clone. And that wil sell better, believe you me.

And do not worry, I will stop bothering you now.

What advice, if he can't do anything a game requires ? My advice to the OP is just get out of game development because you probably can't do sh*t in this category.
