Is SP/MP Cheating?

Simple question is bringing cars from SP to Online cheating?

 

My question is just about regular cars that have no special features like NOS or Twin Turbos on them just simple cars that are really hard to find online?

 

This is the only glitch i don't mind because it's not harming anybody or giving anybody an unfair advantage especially since Super Cars brought over with the SP/MP can't be stored and the money cap is now at $10,000 so R* took out the main reason why people were doing the SP/MP.

No, especially considering you still can't keep cars which are "too hot". It's not cheating at all.

I consider it bending the rules slightly, but not cheating. You're not loading up your account with money or doing the Godmode thing, but some might disagree

Okay fine Super Cars can be store but not the regular way you have to do a bunch of crap to get it into your garage but you can't mod the super cars or add them to your garage the regular way because they are "too hot"

Of course it is, even if it is harmless. You might not be cheating to get ahead but you're still cheating the system. I'm not for or against SP-MP but I can't see how anyone can say it's not cheating.

Anything not intended by the devs and used repeatedly is cheating.

 

And I REALLY don`t think that the devs intended that Bible of instructions on how to`s. If they would have wanted NOS in MP, they would have added it to LSC. Having NOS in MP is cheating.

 

The only question is: What is Rockstar going to do about it?

Even though it's harmless, it's still cheating an exploit but I don't mind the people who use it, they can do whatever they want with their game

More of an exploit than outright cheating. It doesn't even give me any benefit to have brought over Franks Buff, with the random loss of insurance sadly it just sits in the garage.

this is sadly true,I brought buffalo,tailgater,intruder and sentinel convertible from SP and they're collecting dust

sp to mp is cheating depending on what youre doing...

 

in my book, using that glitch to bring rare cars and stuff like that to fill your garage is not cheating.

 

using the glitch to bring modded cars and sell them for profit, cars with nos or whatever other cheat they do is cheating.

 

i do it to help other people get the cars they want like the tailgaiter or sentinel, epsilon cars and stuff like that.

 

apart from that the only car i bring from sp is the small tow truck.

The tow truck was known to freeze consoles. Just pointing out that what you think is harmless is not always so.

hYes it's cheating, as exploiting the game is a form of cheating, whether or not it gives an advantage. I think it's Rockstar's job to try and close these loopholes, but they should focus on the more impactful ones first, i.e. god-mode, wall cheats, money cheats, and focus on ones like Yankton and the emergency vehicle glitch less. I also believe that when people discover these harmless cheats, it is their right to use and exploit them until they are fixed. There shouldn't be a punishment unless it's truly malicious, like the tow-truck freeze screen... I never did it, but would have loved to play god for a round or two.

i know that but since patch 1.09 seem to fix that freezing issues, i bring it just for fun, without freezing no one.

 

trust me i wont do it if i notice im disrupting the game. but since everything run smooth ill keep bringing that in gtao, after all it only last for a couple minutes before someone destroy it.

I don't care if it's cheating or not... the car spawns Online are non-existent. They're pretty bad in SP also, but for some reason, the game loves to troll you when you're looking for a specific car.

Let's say you're looking for a Ruiner. It usually spawns when you least care about it, but when you take your time to look for it, it disappears... I was helping one of my friends find a Schafter and it took us an hour or two just to find them. I found two on complete accident since we sort of gave up the search.

I was going to ask somebody if they can dupe me Franklin's Buffalo, but I just got it myself. Why it wasn't included Online is beyond me.

Also, money goes by fast online also, so I don't like the idea of being dead broke.

While that's unfair, you can only do that with a save editor.. I think? I don't know, since I just heard about that trick.

Its harmless if you are only bringing in normal cars, when you start bringing in cars with nos etc your gaining a unfair advantage

It kinda is, you can still fully mod a vehilce and save like 200k when bringing it from SP to MP. You can obly sell it for 10k, true, but you still save a lot if you keep it

This! With that said i have done it myself to get Buffalo and a Supermoto. But I still think its wrong, but not even close to godmode, or the stuff that people did on IV. Setting people on fire, flying cars, teleporting, godmode, all weapons, rocket smg...

 

Edit: I actually got rid of the Buffalo and only bring out the Supermoto when playing private sessions. This is because I truly feel its wrong. I like modding on my computer I use to play a very heavy modded version of Skyrim. But Online should be an equal and fair experience for eveyone.

It shows how broken the game is if you're a regular player who's contemplaying cheating in order to have a chance against the crowd that are openly cheating.
