Is anyone else having this problem?

I often attempt to join GTA Online, but it either times me out, or puts me in an empty lobby, I'ma clean player. Anyone know a solution? It's really starting to piss me off!

Also if you're running a BitTorrent client with hundreds of active TCP connections on the same network as your PS3 is on, you're gonna have a bad time.

I play a mission or two, join free roam, play free roam for 4-5min before it shows everyone left the lobby and in disconnected from Xbox Live. I have god tier internet. Zues is jealous of my internet. Not sure what's going on with this crap.

Internet Service Provider. The company you pay for your internet access. This should not be a problem unless your answer is "McDonalds".

Hang on a sec: what do you mean you'd have to "get a modem". How are you connecting to the internet at the moment? You're not using mobile broadband are you? Because if you are, that's your problem right there.

No, I am using a router. But it's wireless hooked up to my WiFi. I couldn't think of the name. Ethernet Cable or whatever!

Slow internet connection. Period. Update your connection speed or call your provider to see what's up.

Add the fact that you use wireless (which is not the optimal for gaming), and the result is a shoddy session.

Okay, but how does your modem (you must have one) actually connect to the internet? Is it cable, ADSL or (god forbid) mobile broadband?
