I'd love to see some actual drifting.

Recommended Posts

Please, do amuse me people, show me some actual video proof of your 'so called drifting in GTA:O'

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for drifting, I love it, but it just isn't possible in GTA:O, and no, sliding trough the rain isn't "drifting".

Can somebody prove to me that you actually can drift? "VIDEO PROOF PLEASE"

I don't have a capture card and I define drifting very loosely in this game. However, if you're on xbox and would be willing to join a game with me, I could show you all sorts of speed and angle combinations that I can hold and follow through with in the wet or dry.

Drifting = Futo + Rain

What is everyone's obsession with rain for drifting? Is it that difficult to hold angle in the dry? I do it all the time, even in an N/A Futo. Perhaps it's just experience, but I find nothing difficult about pulling off the same maneuvers wet or dry.

Lmao @ all the wanabe GTA "drifters"...

It's not possible without RWD, a manual transmission and all EMS options disabled.

You are only powersliding in GTA, nothing more.

Drifting is controlling a car that's in fact out of control

Op would you consider that a accurate description?

I practice in gtao for atleast a hour a week, using my fully moded banshee.

I drift my bmw irl around corners(low speed) from time to time.

All you need is rwd and good torque

Are you sure?

It can't be done with awd?

Traction control on?

Automatic trans?

What kind of drifting are you referring to?

Is doing a donut considered drifting?

Lol @calling people wannabees, yet never contributing to the topic at hand. Wannabe troll much?

I manage to drift my Futo on dry pavement but it requires not counter steering until i'm about to spin out.

As soon as I counter steer the car corrects itself because of the cartoon style handling and results in compete corner ugliness.

I'd like to see some video proof of realistic looking drifting though too. What I can manage in GTAo just looks corny and it's not because of my driving skills.

Half of thread trying to sound like professionals

Other half of thread trying to sound like Scientists.

Nice math. Your post doesn't fit in either category, so it's not half and half.

Neither does your post, so you got me..

Four wheel drifting due to loss of centrifugal friction is possible. Drifting by initiating the loss of traction under sustained throttle however, isn't possible due to the traction control thats put in place to make driving easier. The only times where drifting under throttle is possible is at low speeds and in the rain. The futo's current handling does however allow some throttled drifts to an extent. But it requires you to swing the car more than usual. This is where the lack of steering lock shows its ugly face when the futo feels back heavy and wants to spin its butt around, and you have no more lock to counteract the initial motion that you did to cause the slide in the first place.

Drifting is possible. But sustained drifts under throttle aren't however.

I contributed, but you obviously are so ignorant and butthurt from me having put you in your place countless times, that you fail to comprehend.

Failure personified in all its glory.

There is no fixing your kind of stupid. Shine on, lonely child, shine on.

^Obviously hasn't the slightest clue what constitutes a drift.

#NuffSaid? Lols

That shows my previous post perfectly. As soon as he counter steers the drift is gone. It's close but not a proper looking drift.

And he wouldn't have been able to maintain it anyways.
