Countryside vs Interiors

Recommended Posts

Geralt of Rivia

alright hold up. stop right here. how many interiors are there in the game NOT counting houses, garages, ANY stores, or interiors that are glithced/mission locked?

Why would you not count most of the interiors?

Anyway, WildBrick posted the list. You can find out the answer yourself.

Interiors in V;

-snip-

etc. tbh there is more than 200 interiors in V.

More than 200 in V?? Wtf are you smoking? Repeated copy and paste interiors don't count, only unique ones do, and in GTA V there's less than 20 unique accessible interiors, and about 60 if you count the repeated ones. There's GTA IV interior videos on my channel (see signature), and there's ~95 UNIQUE ones in IV, and about 200+ with the repeated ones, so don't try to defend V with your bullsh*t. The thing that pisses me off about V the most is that there actually is more unique interiors, but the retarded game designers decided to block them off for some reason after finishing the missions.

Imo the countryside is a nice addition, but the underwater is certainly not (and it takes up way too much space). They should've added a lot more interiors instead of underwater.

I watched all videos and some interiors don't even count as interiors.

Subway station, "2 sh*tty garages", Airport Car Park, "Crappy Prefabs", Hideout Alley, Car Park #3 and #4 (Algonquin) are not interiors at all. Yes, they are technically interiors but the game doesn't read them as ones.

Maisonette 9, Bahama Mamas, Hercules, Bank Of Liberty, AOD and Lost MC Clubhouses, The Platypus, all of safehouses (except Playboy X's) and if I recall correctly, Clothing Stores cannot be accessed in multiplayer mode without glitches.

Porn Shop and Bowling Alley are the same thing in both Broker and Algonquin

Hospitals are the same thing in Broker and Alderney

It would be better if these videos were actually recorded in Multiplayer, not in Singleplayer with trainer.

Nope, you can go into all clothes stores in GTA IV multiplayer standalone, and you can definitely get into those other 7 interiors that you listed in TBoGT/TLAD multiplayer.

I don't really see the point you're trying to make. Sure, you can nitpick a few flaws with some of those interiors but none of that negates the fact that GTA V has considerably less unique interiors than IV.

Interiors in V;

*24 stores

*LTD Stores

*Police Station (Mission Row)

*9 Ammunation Stores and 2 Shooting Ranges

*The Protags Safehouses

*The Protags Garages

*Strip Club

*Fleeca Bank

*The Bank Downtown Los Santos

*Dart Bar

*Clothing stores

*Barber Shops

*Tattoo Parlor

*4 LS Customs and 1 other in Paleto Bay

etc. tbh there is more than 200 interiors in V.

There's 89 accessible interiors in free-roam in GTA V

89, most of which are copy and pasted. Wow, great achivement for R* to go from 200+ to 89.

I highly doubt there were 200 accessible interiors in GTA 4 free roam that you could get to without using cheats/glitches/mods.

Yeah I am a bit upset with R* lack of interiors in the game. The game itself is really beautiful but theres just too many open/empty spaces of absolutely nothing… For the people who say "Country all the way" no offence to you, but if you want country; red dead redemption is an excellent game for that, not GTA. GTA has always been city based. I don't mind a little country but its too much in GTA 5, even for online. With the amount of space they have they could replace that with more activities, interiors, mini games, and unlimited side quest such as planning robberies with michael trev and frank that is not related to story missions. And don't get me started in this under water crap, that to is so much space wasted.

Los santos/LA is a playground. When you think about it automatically you think celebrities, the night life, gangsters, drugs, ect. With michael I can see this guy running hollywoods "night life" and seeing it as a connection/business opportunity. occasionally visits the casino and plans robberies on a regular basis without being it mission based with his crew. He's the type that would enter/own various of high class restaurants, bars/lounge, and a motel/hotel in LS where he could have access to and enjoy that high end life of a "Vinewood" experience. Instead R* gives us massive useless country space, an empty under water kingdom, and one interior strip joint in the ghetto and various bars that has no interior what so ever.

With Frank, I see this guy running the streets of LS with his fellow Grove street bros. Maybe participating in gang war with other gangs to seize hood control. Someone who would visit/own pool halls, night clubs, strip joints, and a maybe a few sleazy or classy bars.Instead R* gives us massive useless country space, an empty under water kingdom, and one interior strip joint in the ghetto and various bars that has no interior what so ever.

With Trev, R* pretty much nailed it with him. I don't see this guy owning anything because he is just mass destruction. The one thing i wanted from trev was the china town wars drug dealing feature added. Him and franklin. but in terms of accessible business, pretty much anything of franks list

The one and only thing ill forgive R* for the massive amount of empty spaces is if they add a zombie DLC because with this much space, it would work out.

Anyway, blah blah blah.

because if you take those away, then what do you have? all th stores are copy/pastes of on another, they should only be counted once for each store. and what can you do in the garages? walk around and look at all the nothingness? houses? I don't think those really count.

you know what, just disregard all of that^

what I really want to know is, where are all of the dynamic interiours? there are probably like 10? are you truly satisfied with the amount of interiors in this game?

They should only be counted once for each store when you're talking about unique interiors. Otherwise, it makes literally 0 sense to not include the copy/paste.

I'm satisfied with the interiors, because the fact that there's 89 of them, along with a big map and good graphics, on current last gen consoles, is just astounding.

I can't wait for the PC version/Next-Gen.

There were some that weren't accessible, I know there were.

For example: One is a building that's almost all windows. There's stairs leading up to somewhere, but you cannot get into that building.

U.L. Paper (I think that's the name) is another.

The lawyer place.

Etc.

I'm sure there's more. Those were just off the top of my head.

SonofLosSantos: This is gonna make me sound like an elitist, but I settled for mediocrity when I got the console version of GTA V. God, I hate talking like that.

The lawyer place, not true. You can still enter that office block in free roam, I tried it and done it myself.

You cannot think of more, because there probably is not more. I'm very doubtful of your claim that cheats were needed to enter certain interiors in IV.

In that 89, you've included all the copy and pasted interiors in GTA V. In GTA IV there's even more unique interiors than that, at just over 90. If you include the copy and pasted ones in GTA IV, you have well over 200. I'd even put 300 down as a possibility since you have all those little apartment blocks you could enter here and there, and the huge amounts of subway stations, Burger Shots, Cluckin Bells, [email protected], etc...

Btw I'm talking about the multiplayer freeroam in IV & TBoGT where you don't have to use any glitches because nothing is closed, unlike the single player.

In the video, the second interior he goes into he teleports in because it's not accessible in free roam.

There's more than you'd think.

Also, I don't remember any more 'cause I haven't played GTA 4 in years. It has nothing to do with there not being a lot.

There's locked interiors in GTA 4 SP.

TaazR: Oh, you're talking MP. Ok, that's different. I wonder, is GTA V interiors unlocked in MP too? I doubt it, but I'm not sure. Has anyone tried getting into LifeInvader or anything like that in Online?

No, in fact there's even less interiors in GTA V multiplayer than single player. You can't go into the small Fleeca banks, and you can't go into Trevor's, Michael's, or Franklin's houses. You can glitch into a few though.

I never said to not be vocal about anything. If you have disappointments, share them. However, disappointments about what is in a game is different than disappointments about what's not in a game, hence the philosophy.

You constantly see GTA V about how there's not enough gang stuff to do, not enough interiors, etc. etc.

You're not seeing it for what it is. You're seeing it for what it's not.

However, to each their own. I understand where you're coming from.

What?

What is GTA V? That's up to you. It's your opinion.

Basically what I'm saying is:

Look at GTA V for the story it has. Not for the story it doesn't have.

Look at GTA V for the features it has. Not for the features it doesn't have.

We all want things that didn't make it into the game. But to judge the game based off of that is stupid.

it was kind of a rhetorical question, I just wanted a response. but when I look at gta v for what it DOES have, its alright I guess.

the story that it does have isn't very good.

the features that it does have are OK at best.

the game is underwhelming In comparison to they trailers and previews.

with that being said, its the game that I have spent the most time on, spent the most money on, and a game that I play everyday. of course the game has flaws that I will never be able to get over, but its still my favorite game.

...still doesn't make up for the excuse that they call "interiors."

The rural based meth trade is huge these days so to have a countryside in a crime game set in modern times makes a ton of sense. Crime is not just an urban thing these days. In fact it is moving into the suburbs and country while the cities are becoming richer and richer.

I'm just curious, why did you think the game was underwhelming and bad? Every game feels bad compared to the previews and trailers. Just like movies. Most of the time the trailer feels so different in tone and action compared to the actual movie. The story, I could agree with you (although the missions were still fantastic). I don't agree with the features part. I played a lot of open world games (IV, SR, AC) , and the features are really good. What specifics don't you like about the features? There's a lot of cool features (imo) like the random events, the stock market (I use that every day), golf is very in-depth (http://goo.gl/7G9iGi), the underwater is pretty cool, there are animals, the police cone system is cool. We can actually hide from the cops for the first time ever in gta. The lighting system, Chop, weapons wheel, etc. IMO the features are OK at WORST.

@ Masterfocker

* I did look at GTA V for story it has. My conclusion is that it was very mediocre, and in some areas quite boring. Rockstar could and should have done much better than that.

* I looked at GTA V for the features it has. My conclusion is that what features it currently has is nothing special, while the others feel rushed, or very lazily done. In some cases, other features it does have amounts to bullsh*t, and one of them is something beginning with the letter Y.

* If you think that is stupid that's fine. I don't see how it is, I can't agree with that. GTA V can be rightly judged on the stuff it does not have, because it reasonably was expected to have certain things by fans. Things like not enough interiors, yoga as a side activity, and that bullsh*t fed/government story just cannot be overlooked by many people who criticize V heavily. You can't just brush that all under the carpet if many fans were not happy with it.

I saw V for what it was, and like I've said many times, it's very good but it's not great. I just don't believe it realized it's full potential, it should have been much better. That philosophy you have sold to me would still cause me to have the same conclusion.

It really shouldn't be Countryside vs. Interiors, but OCEAN VS.INTERIORS. Countryside is a 1000 times better than a massive, useless ocean NOBODY ventures into. I'd GLADLY lose the ocean for a massive airport with a full interior we could explore, plus that huge mall we can't enter in Los Santos, as well as a host of other places that look great from the outside, but no interiors.

The countryside is underrated. It's a beautiful and large landscape that offers a much needed contrast to downtown Los Santos. It's not Rockstars fault that most people like to stay in the SAME 5% area of the map. There are so many cool places I've FORGOTTEN about. Hell, just the other day I drove right past that huge Golf course and said to myself, "I forgot this was even a part of this map!".

Believe me, the biggest waste of space was the ocean. While the sheer size of the underwater space is mind blowing, it's entirely useless. It's amazing to think that 2 of the coolest places in the GTA universe came from Vice City. The Airport, and the Mall had great interior spaces for their time, and I just don't understand why Rockstar didn't bring a modern day equivalent into GTAV.

Does anyone even REMEMBER that there are sharks in the ocean? Nuff' said.
