Total number of GTA Online players in the world

I'm surprised google doesn't help

Cypress Flats LTS is the most played job(14.5m plays),7.7m likes and 2.3m dislikes

is it possible to calculate the total no. of players?

It's amazing how many players there are and how many empty lobbies there are, rockstar needs to redo its matchmaking system.

i dont think that the number of plays represent the number of players there is...

 

for instance some player may have played that in number of times.

 

based on the amount of people that bought the game for sure there are some millions!

That LTS is in the tutorial, I guess most people played it once to get it out of the way.

 

Even though you can just join a lobby for it then leave and it counts as tutorial complete. Which I did.

Well, GTA V so far has sold around 32 million copies worldwide so there's probably like 15 million players(maybe even more) who have played GTA O since launch and maybe around 20% of them gave up cause of the issues it had during launch/delayed heist etc but it's their loss anyway as they're missing on a beatiful game like this.

So considering that most people have an internet connection, I would guess there have been around 15-20 million players (which would certainly explain the teething problems at the start)

 

However only a fraction of that will return regularly, but suffice to say the GTA:O userbase is well into its millions.

You have to remember that it's split in 2 also.

Plays also don't represent daily active users.

I would say it's about a million per console that play regular.

if your in lobbies alone quite a bit then it may be your ISP, if you don't have over 5 to 6 mps at least your going to lagg to hell and get kicked/end up in playerless lobbies. I had these problems before I got a new Internet service provider. Edited February 20, 2014 by Sushi__Wolf
