Anyone think this game is genuinely getting boring now?

Recommended Posts

The mission farming is great but Rockstar takes so long to get just one pack released and most people just bought everything that the game has, pegasus vehicles, clothes, guns, car mods etc, as I had so there is a point in the game where you just want a bit of new content. Why not free content every week? Maybe a new gun, bit of clothing, or some new contact missions but not too much. The big packs like the heists should take as much time as they need, so we are occupied for longer and we still play the game. What do you guys think?

I think there was no need for another whiny " GTA is boring" thread.

Its not boring or getting boring. Its what you do or do not make of it! and about having some imagination. I don't know how anyone can say they are bored!. You got given a DLC pack just a few days ago FFS!! for FREE!!.

What do you do when you have nothing to do, what with getting bored so easily. Do you just bang your head against a wall?

Depends how you look at it. In regards to medium to long term goals the online does kinda suck cos everything can be cleared in 10 minutes. So if you want something with depth and progression you're screwed.

If you.just want quick fix jump in and kill some folks then theres still some fun in it. But I think that lacks depth. What you do today has no impact on tomorrow kinda thing as theres no real chain of progression.

So it depends on the type of gamer you are I guess. If your quick fix entertainment jump in and gi then its still fun. If you're a gamer who likes to work towards somethingnor develop a story then gta is getting boring yes. If online had a decent campaign story sequence it would be much more fun I think.

I don't really see why everyone gives Rockstar a hard time. I think the game is amazing. Although I've never had a character or vehicle deleted and haven't had money taken off me or been put in bad sports. Mainly because I avoid the duping/glitching that goes on. I think the games really fun there's always something to do especially if you play with friends you can have a laugh. It's unlike many other games you're free to do whatever you please in a virtual world with friends. Most other MPs you're stuck in a small area or have to follow checkpoints. You have so much freedom. Sure we could use more content but once Rockstar patches glitches and hacks then they will release more. It's like trying to finish a story but the more you type the more mistakes are made. Do you go back every so often and fix these mistakes so people can read the story or do you pump out the rest of the story and fix all the spelling at the very end but by this time it's so bad no one wants to read it. Rockstar is trying to balance releasing new content and also handle fixing bugs and cheats. You just need to be patient personally I don't anticipate or get upset about DLCs if they are released great if not I'll wait or play another game.

No. Trolling never gets old. I think the thing with GTA online is that there are several things that I can do. Sometimes some of those things get boring and I focus on one or two things for a while, then eventually go back to the things that had gotten a little boring.

I am always finding new things to do on GTA Online. Playing pranks on people, trolling, farming Rooftop Rumble, bounties, having a bounty on me and getting in the tank, etc etc.

Effectively, I never get tired of finding new ways in GTAO to be a complete and total....

GTA Online is boring because you make it boring. Use your imagination a little. Come up with your own games with some mates in free-mode or team up against some other crews. GTA:O is a sandbox, you're only limited by your ideas.

As for weekly updates, I enjoy the way Minecraft do weekly snapshots and there is almost always a new toy every week. I think a similar system on GTA:O would lead to even more less quality updates and they should stick to what they have.

Also Microsoft and Sony have really strict (and expensive) certification before they push an update, it would be really costly to R*.

I don't have a problem finding something to do still, and i've been playing since October. Rank 181, All cars fully modded, all guns, wardrobe. I still steal cars, do survival, jobs, ride around taking pics of random things, see what Story Mode buildings I can get inside of, or go hang with my insane crew. If it gets too boring? I play Story Mode, or just take the game out and play something else. Put it back in later and try again.

Want a challenge? Enter any random Freemode and try making it from one side of the map to the other on foot without getting killed. Then turn around and try to make it back where you started.

Why cant you bored f*cks just dig up one of the many "I'M BORED" threads and just share your feelings there?

I mean, do f*cks really want new content every god damn week? To where it becomes lame?

HOW HARD IS IT TO JUST STOP PLAYING? Why do you bored f*cks need a god damn support group?

While I get your point 100%, look at it from this perspective. Yes, we got free DLC a few days ago. All of the DLC has been free to this point (meaning we haven't had to pay money to access it), but what has the DLC to this point added to the game? Has it added any real value and longevity? The short answer...no. DLC is supposed to add to a game's experience and extend it's replay value. Take a look at say...Borderlands 2's DLC. Pretty much like getting an entirely new game. Hell, Farcry 3's DLC WAS a brand new game. GTAV/O's DLC has been filler at best. And to be honest, it's not exactly very filling.

Yes, I realize that R* has had to spend countless time fixing the game, dealing with exploits and of course fighting off hackers. That's taken away from them cranking out DLC in a timely manner. But in 10 updates total now for GTAO, we've gotten 3 batches of content. The Beach Bum Pack, DM & Race Creator and now the St. Valentine's Day Massacre pack. Neither has blown anyone away. Neither has made anyone say "hey, I really like the direction GTAO is heading." The one DLC release that would do just that...Heists...STILL hasn't been announced yet. And even so with the track record of the last DLC releases...it's probably gonna be underwhelming as well.

Now I'm not saying I dislike GTAO. If I did, I wouldn't be playing it still. But it takes more then a few shallow DLC releases to keep me entertained, and there's only so many DMs, races and missions I can play over...and over...and over again before I shut GTAO down and play something else. I think I speak for the majority people like-minded to myself in that ideal. R* needs to release more engaging content for the game. Stuff that WILL make us want to come back and dive head 1st into the hail of bullets. They haven't to this point, and people are (myself being one of them) are either getting bored or are already bored with what's available right now.

My god why are all the people of this forum such sad acts, the op asking if people if they think it boring and fan boys start crying, I don't post much but I am genuinely leaving site as of this post, seeing u all makes me sad about the world, get a life you sad f*cks and let people have opinions instead on crying and sucking of rockstar at every min, bye bye you sad c*nts

I left the game for a month (online) because was getting a little tired of it and LCPDFR just released a new version for GTAIV, so been playing that for awhile (best mod ever made for GTAIV imo). Decided to jump back into GTAV Online a few days back and I'm hooked again. I noticed some nice tweaks to the game play, like cops not hitting me with every shot, new missions, new suits/ties, guns...the Rat Loader...nice! Seems it's getting better as time goes on.

Every time I think it's getting boring, I get into some sh*t and about 3-4 hours pass by in the blink of an eye. Been ruining my sleep pattern again. Working for a Corquette and Comet, so keeping me busy at the moment.

Good day.

I agree with this. The only thing pushing me forward right now is to reach level 100. After that, I have no idea what I'll do.
