Why Do People Chrome Everything?

I'll may never understand why but maybe someone can help me.

 

I was riding around with this guy who ended up driving into his apartment and when we got in there he had chrome on everything even on his T-Top Firebird looking car (Don't know the name in the game)

 

Why do some people put chrome on every car they own?

 

The Chrome imo is ugly in itself but can made an uglier car even uglier (i.e Adder)

 

Don't get me wrong the Chrome does look good on some cars with full chrome on them such as the Duneloader but not many cars can pull it off.

 

Instead of making the whole car chrome why don't they use the chrome as a secondary to the main paint it would look so much better.

People like to look obnoxious. They do it for attention, and it's why people also drive hot pink cars with dollar sign rims and white walls.

 

Chrome only looks good on the Voodoo and Hotknife. It hides the rust well on the Voodoo, and for some reason the Hotknife just looks cool with it, maybe due to its small size so it doesn't scream chrome like a chrome Adder.

Why does anyone like the sh*tloader or the roosavelt? Those cars are f*cking ugly, IMHO... Learn what opinion means, and then learn that yours is insignificant. I like the color silver. I like that I earned chrome. And I like all my cars to look the same because I can only drive one at a time. Why do people think that hating on others taste makes them cool?

When you chrome-wrap a car, I think it shows excess? It shows that, i'm obnoxious, I have the money for this, and f*ck you i'm better than you. It's expensive, and gaudy. It gets your attention.

I don't like chrome as well, overrated paint job that looks hideous when used primarily. It looks good on bikes(western bagger) and if it was available for wheels, then that's the only time I'd use it.

I usually chrome vehicles with rust or spotty paint like the Bodhi or Duneloader. Hides the rust nicely.

Chrome is a 'prestige' thing, I guess, by virtue of being the most expensive paint job. If Rockstar made another paintjob "hard" to unlock and more expensive than Chrome then you probably wouldn't see it as much IMO.

 

Fully chromed cars are still pretty ugly for the most part anyway though.

I have my Stinger GT in Metallic Silver, with Ice White pearlescent. Looks very nice gives it a classic 60s look. The chrome is ridiculous, it belongs in engine bays, and on custom motorcycles, not as a whole coat paint job on a vehicle.

Chrome looks alright as a secondary on some vehicles. Like the Canis Seminole. It gives the effect of a chrome bumper when set as secondary. Hot knife is another example.

 

However, should you encounty a chrome super or sports car, destroy it immediately.

I have chrome on my Blazer, but I think it's hilarious looking, plus I'm not complaining since someone else gave it to me.

 

Then again I could always ask for another one in a different color but I don't really care.

Pretty much the only reason people do it is because it costs the most. I bet if they put in a Rainbow color or one that was pink, brown, blue and green for 50k everyone would buy it over chrome.

Like a few of you said about how Chrome hides rust well you're correct that is the only reason i put chrome on my Duneloader becuase no other color showed up on the truck i think it looks decent but i personally don't like it.

And yet the more that people complain about it, the more other people complain about it. Quite funny how there is a correlation there.

 

The whole "I hate Adders" idea was purely because this forum is full of sheep. It's been hammered into people's heads that anyone driving one is a douche, when in reality just about everyone online is a douche... Adder owner or not.
