Well that was actually quite a good race by the end. A proper fight for first at the end.

I don't think I'll watch another for a bit but i may keep in the loop.

Except for being about 8 or 9 hours late

Now this is my kind of thread.

I could say stuff, but it wouldn't be any different than what I already said so...

Yeah this will be my home until November.

I was wondering when you'd show up :p

This is pissing me off so much though. Gordon was clearly ahead of Keselowski long before the caution flew, and crossing the finish line, yet they still scored him 4th. On the other hand, I have no reason to gripe. With the new points system, any position besides 1st is pretty much rendered moot. Gordon (or any other driver for that matter) could finish 30th every single week, then miraculously get a win, and that justifies them having a chance to win the championship. What bullsh*t.

Even Danica has a fighting chance of making the chase, as much as I don't want to admit it...

Welcome to the now official NASCAR forum. While I won't be the most active poster now, I will definitely be using this forum to keep up to date and ask questions as and when I have them.

As y'all know, I'm a NASCAR noob. I liked the Daytona (and I'm far more clued up now than I'll admit) but other than Talledega, what would be the must-see races?

Ex Hellraiser

(Well, of course, all of them!!)

Definitely the road races (Watkins Glen, Infineon), Atlanta, Texas, Charlotte/Lowe's, New Hampshire (I don't really think NH is all that exciting, but a lot of others do). Martinsville and Bristol always have a lot of rubbing and grinding (don't think of that sexually :p) and are always exciting. Richmond is the last race before the Chase, and Homestead-Miami is the last race of the year, so you might want to keep tabs on those as well.

I realize I just named like half the tracks, but hey, they are all worth watching!

Out of all the rookies this year, I think Parker Kligerman is top of my list. He finished 2nd in points in his rookie season in ARCA in 2009, and he got a pole in his first Nationwide start that same year. While Kyle Larson and Austin Dillon both have talent, they haven't had to do all the work themselves. Kyle was boosted up the ladder because of the Drive for Diversity program, which just gave him more camera time and made him more popular. Austin (and Ty) were both given top equipment from their granddad from the beginning. They were given all the resources from the getgo and that gave them both a clear advantage. However, Kligerman wasn't in any incentive program, given the best equipment, nor the next generation of a racing dynasty. He made his way up from ARCA without the handouts the other two got, and that is why I want to see him win more than the others.

While I like all three of them, and would love to see any of them challenge the likes of Earnhardt or Gordon, I just feel like Parker would've earned it more.

EDIT: And if you like Jeff Gordon also, Phoenix would be a good watch. He's definitely picked his game up there in the last few years.

All I care about is Gordon finished a spot in front of Johnson both weeks. As long as he keeps that up, I honestly don't care as much where he finishes. As long as it is better than Johnson, I'm dandy.

Hendrick seems to be doing well for himself, 3 drivers in the top 5 at Daytona, Phoenix, and in the points! Not a bad way to kick off the season.

I've got days worth of reactions, but I'm too lazy to film myself and edit all that crap so here's my twitter
