FOX is why Daytona in July when NBC/NBCSN resume broadcasting the races can't come fast enough... such a clueless and joke of a broacaster. It took them about 10 replays, a commercial break and 10 minutes later to realize/comprehend that the caution was out before the #78 passed the #48 even with at least the first two replays clearly showing the caution lights on.

it's also gotten old having Jeff Gordon say something to only have Darrell Waltrip contradict/argue with Gordon every single time. Fox seriously needs to smarten up kick Darrell out of the booth and put Larry McReynolds back in to it. Darrell can't go 10 seconds with out either interupting Mike Joy or arguing/contradicting/interupting Jeff Gordon or both and it completely annoying.

Well there go the 3 RCR cars + more in that big one.

Sucks for Stenhouse and Vickers.

Involved via Twitter and Fox - #3 Dillon, #27 Menard, #31 Newman, #7 Smith, #14 Vickers, #20 Kenseth, #15 Bowyer, #23 Ragan, #44 Scott, #17 Stenhouse, #48 Johnson, #46 Annett, #6 Bayne.

that wreck reminds me of a huge pileup at Auto Club Speedway in 2009 where all four Richard Petty Motorsports cars (#9 Kahne, #19 Sadler, #43 Sorenson, and #44 Allmendinger) were involved.

I remember that crash mainly cause Jr. was in it. I also really miss those Evernham cars.

Stewart-Haas Racing just unvieled the throwback car for Kurt Busch - https://twitter.com/StewartHaasRcng/status/720355823499620354?s=09

same design as Danica's car, but different sponsors and colors. The design reminds me of the old Snickers car that Dick Trickle used to drive - http://www.mikesdecals.com/product_info.php?products_id=593

well it took less than 8 laps and Jeff Gordon and Darrell Watrip are aready fighting in the booth, and like usual Waltrip got owned by Gordon. FOX really needs to kick Waltrip out of the booth and put Larry McReynolds back into it.

and Junior's day is pretty much over before it began.

crazy how many pit road penalties there have been today and how many issues there have been for the big names

- #2 Keselowski - speeding on pit road

- #18 Busch - speeding on pit road, flt tire causing crash, then spin later on EDIT: Just got caught speeding on pit road again EDIT: now another blown tire and harder crash, gone to the garage EDIT: Officially out of the race.

- #48 Johnson - speeding on pit road

- #22 Logano - uncontrolled tire

- #6 Bayne - Commiment Line Violation

- #88 Junior - power issue on the start

- #42 Larson - track bar issue

- #20 Kenseth - blown tire, crash

edit: now add Hamlin to that list - crashed into Brian Scott on pit road, has a ton of front end damage

edit Chase Elliott had to make an unscheduled pit stop for a vibration right before the caution came out for Kenseth.

edit: two more penalties now -

- #16 Biffle - speeding on pit road

- #3 Dillon - speeding on pit road

Kenseth blows another tire and crashed again and is in the garage, then McMurray, Austin Dillon and Buescher try to wreck each other and now McDowell and Wise wreck.

this race has been a lot like the Xfinity Series race yesterday not a lot happening at the beginning of the race and a lot of crazy stuff happening later on.

edit: and another penalty, this time Newman was caught speeding on pit road.

edit: and FOX's on-screen graphics people fail again - they show the Coca-Cola Racing Family's cars and their running order and every time they use the computerized cars they always use the wrong paintscheme on at least one of the cars and this time they used one of Austin Dillon's Dow cars instead of the Bass Pro Shops car.

quite the drift/save by Casey Mears, that ranks right up there with Jamie McMurray's drift/save at Las Vegas in 2009.

Well I just got done watching the race and man it was pretty great. Awesome run for some smaller teams such as BK Racing and HScott. Even Roush can be considered a backmarker team at this point, but they're getting better and they continued to show it today.

Toyota wins again, yay (full sarcasm), but the rest of the top 10 was interesting. About half of the top 10 was at least one lap down at some point. Jr. got lucky to salvage a 2nd place finish there.

I'm so amazed at DiBendetto (or DiBurrito, as Reddit likes to call him). I loved his interview. He's such a great guy.

Agreed. I miss Larry Mac.

I feel like these Mountain Dew paint schemes are kinda underwhelming. They had the chance to create 3 awesome and unique schemes for each of the flavors but they just copy-pasted the same design with different colors.

And for the love of god, please do something with the number 24, it looks just terrible without the shadow. They now took 2 of Jr.'s sponsors from last year that had awesome paint schemes, and slapped them on Chase's car and made a god awful scheme out of it. First KBB, now Baja Blast.

Here's an album of the 3 cars.

So Kasey Kahne's list of primary sponsors has gotten longer. AARP Drive to End Hunger will sponsor Kahne and the #5 team at Bristol in August and Texas in November -

The #88 JR Motorsports Xfinity Series team has picked up another sponsor. Fire Alarm Services is going to be primary sponsor on the #88 at Kansas in October with Regan Smith as driver -

BREAKING - Tony Stewart just announced on his Twitter page that he will be back in the #14 car starting this weekend at Richmond.

Edit - According to Jenna Fryer, He will start the race at Talladega but will get out of the car and Ty Dillon will take over due to the risk of a huge crash and not wanting to risk another injury to his back. She is also reporting that he will drive the full race at Kansas.

I guess I can understand him wanting to be back by Richmond, considering his history at the track. I don't know what kind of performance he can make this year but I wish him the best for sure.

from what they were saying, he, I guess, was not planning on being back until the All-Star race weekend, but when the doctors did his latest scan and saw it, they decided it he could be cleared to race again. So like with Kyle Busch last year, Stewart is back a lot sooner than expected. (JGR had drivers lined up all the way through September last year for the #54 in Xfinity which kind of shows how long they must have thought it would be before Busch was back)
