To be fair, I think Kasey went down on her. I know he was trying to sidedraft her, but he should've given her more room.

I don't know how Stenhouse managed to get 5th, but I'll take it. Kyle Busch probably isn't too happy now, and I can't see Kenseth being in a good mood either considering his luck this year.

Good for Scott, Cassil and Bowyer though bringing home decent finishes.

Decent rebound for Jr., a top 10 would've been nice but I guess it's better than 20th.

theGTAking101

I love Cole Pearn so much, he's not too pleased with Logano and he let Twitter know about it. The Reddit community was 50/50 on this. I personally loved it and so did Dale. Twitter is usually fun after a race but it's extra great tonight. Even Brad is getting some action.

EDIT: Can't forget this one.

Jimmie has now passed Sr. in wins, and instead of getting attacked with beer cans like Jeff, the crowd was cheering.

no penalties have been announced for the Xfinity Series or Sprint Cup Series yet, possibly due to the distance of travel between Fontana and Charlotte.

there has been talk that the following people could be penalized/fined -

- Kasey Kahne (not very likely) - incident with Danica Patrick

- Danica Patrick - walking towards the track to show displeasure with Kahne (Last year Jennifer Jo Cobb got fined for leaving her truck and walking towards the track to show displeasure towards Tyler Reddick)

- Cole Pern (not very likely) - for a tweet sent about Joey Logano

- Kyle Busch - for comments over the team radio after the Xfinity Series race calling NASCAR rigged after they did not throw the caution when the left front tire on his car exploded putting debris on the track. Also for skipping out on his media obligations after the race for finishing 2nd.

theGTAking101

Just saw the paint schemes on Reddit a few minutes ago, and I hate the Sun Energy1 schemes.

I'm pretty sure someone said on Twitter the penalties will be released tomorrow.

EDIT: Yep right here.

Edited by theGTAking101

Penalties have been announced -

- Danica Patrick has been fined $20,000 and has been placed on NASCAR probation for the next 4 races

- Kyle Busch has been fined $10,000 and has been placed on NASCAR probation for the next 4 races for failing to do his media obligations after the Xfinity Series race

no penalties for Kasey Kahne, or Cole Pern. Busch also was not penalized for the comments in the car after the Xfinity Series race where he called NASCAR rigged.

Considering Kahne got called to the hauler after the race, I'm surprised there were no penalties.

Danica I'm not surprised though, after the Ward incident NASCAR made it clear not to walk up the track after getting out of the car.

from what it sounded like, NASCAR just wanted to hear Kahne's side of the story.

Pretty harsh comments from Busch considering he won a Damn championship minus an entire third of the season...

And I expected that Danica penalty. Getting out of the car was understandable, but she had no reason to walk up the track. Especially since she was in front of her car, it was easily possible a passing driver wouldn't see her until it were too late.

Ryan Shea the car chief for Chip Ganassi Racing's #42 Xfinity Series team has died - http://nascar.nbcsports.com/2016/03/31/crew-member-with-chip-ganassi-racings-xfinity-team-dies/

This is such a small detail, but it would make me so happy if it happened. Jimmie Johnson is trying to get Lowe's to allow the car to have yellow numbers again.

It just looks so right:

I agree. It's such a small detail I didn't even notice it. Hendrick always had yellow numbers on most if the cars through the 2000s, and I didn't even notice that it stopped.

so I guess during driver intros the fans had quite the negative reaction towards Joey Logano.

that was interesting listening to Gordon talk to Kahne on NASCAR.com raceview. During the commercial break, I all of a sudden hear "Hey, Kasey this is Jeff, do you got me?". I muted the TV for it, and it was better listening to it that way than it would have been on TV with the starting grid music going on in the background.

edit: caution for Junior before lap 5. Ragan hit him and cut his left rear tire down.

Man it's funny seeing Joey get booed like that. A year ago I thought I was in the minority for hating him, but after the end of last year it seems most of us do.

That was an interesting race. I'm so glad Larson had a good run, and same with AJ, Vickers and Menard.

You've gotta give Jr. and Edwards a lot of credit, they spend over half the race a lap down and they're both in contention to win at the end. Too bad Jr. got shuffled back on the final restart though.

Logano did it to himself. He has gotten so many drivers mad at him over the last few years (namely Denny Hamlin, Tony Stewart, Jimmie Johnson, Matt Kenseth and Kurt Busch) by doing stupid stuff and has wrecked a a few other drivers in the dumbest ways it's easy to not like him. (two of the best examples of his stupidity are when he drove through and wrecked a lapped car towards he end of the race while trying to catch the leader at Dover in the Xfnity Series a few years ago and then when in another Xfinity Series race, he for some reason decided he needed 10 lanes to get off of turn 2 at Homestead and drove straight through Johanna Long and put her head on into the wall. Him intentionally wrecking Hamlin at Fontana will never be topped though, because it does not get any dumber than that.

NASCAR has indefinetely suspended driver/owner Derek White (#13 and #40 Toyota/Dodge in the Xfinity Series) for failing to notify NASCAR of his arrest last week - http://nascar.nbcsports.com/2016/04/04/nascar-indefinitely-suspends-derek-white-for-arrest/

theGTAking101

When he was at Gibbs he was one of my favorites, but Fontana 2013 sure changed a lot of opinions on him, but surprisingly not mine. It wasn't until 2014 until I started hating him. The crowd's cheers last fall at Martinsville will never get old though.

I used to feel the same amount of hatred for Keselowski, but something changed last year and I like him now. I'm not sure if Logano will get the same treatment from me or not.

Gray Gaulding will drive the #60 for Roush-Fenway Racing at Bristol and Richmond in the Xfinity Series - http://www.roushfenway.com/gaulding-signed-to-roush-fenway-developmental-program/

It would not be surprising if he has Krispy Kreme as sponsor, he is one of those drivers that has sponsorship following him where ever he goes, sort of like Elliott Sadler with One Main Financial, Paul Menard with Menard's, Brendan Gaughan with South Point Hotel & Casino, Brian Scott with Shore Lodge, Albertsons and Whitetail, and Michael Annett with Pilot/Flying J, and John Wes Townley with Zaxby's.

Nazareth Speedway has been bought by a real estate developer - http://www.wfmz.com/news/news-regional-lehighvalley/Jaindl-buys-Nazareth-Speedway/38915424

that likely means that the speedway's fate is confirmed...

seems like every time a track closes it gets turned into a mall, housing ect... and it's always the unique tracks too.

Ok this is amazing, special Kulwiki throwback scheme for Darlington. One gripe is that I always hated the TBR 7 font, I wish they'd change it, at least just for this race.

Can't wait to see Dale's on Tuesday.

that font was the font used by Tommy Baldwin, Jr.'s father Tom. on his Modified. They run it in honor of him. His number was actually #7NY

appropriate night to bring up that performance of the National Anthem after how bad tonights one was. Big mistake by Texas Motor Speedway to do the Duck Commander/Duck Dynasty stuff and have them do the invocation and the national anthem. Both were quite the mess...

so Johnson crashed into Kyle Busch on pit road and the Premium Motorsports (#55 Sorenson and #98 Whitt) moving chicanes are in full force tonight. In 91 laps I have heard Kahne's spotter telling him a few times to watch out for a slow car in front of him and see that he is talking about the Premium Motorsports cars.

edit: Paul Menard just got black flagged and ordered to pit road because the team pulled the side skirt out on the last pit stop. NASCAR made them push it back in.

Random fires in Blaney's and Earnhardt's pits.

EDIT:

Turns out Dale's fire was just sparks from the lugnuts.

EDIT 2:

Wise in the wall during the middle of green flag stops.

so much for NASCAR paying better attention to what is happening on the track. The #30 pounded the wall and it took NACAR like 10 seconds to throw the caution....

now Fox again being completely clueless with the lucky dog stuff up until Larry McReynolds somewhat cleared it up. edit: Never mind they are still clueless

edit: big problems for Harvick on pit road - they had an uncontrolled wheel and was caught speeding on pit road. Johnson might have a loose wheel.
