New bug after 1.10

Not very game breaking but can be very annoying and make you have to rejoin a lobby. Yesterday I was playing online with an other player, just driving around and for some reason whenever i entered the car the animation glitched and i was stuck reaching for the car door for almost 30 seconds. Even after he drove around to see if i would get knocked off i stayed attached to the car. once i entered the car I was unable to leave. For whatever reason when i tried exiting the car i was not able to. The driver left and i didn't move seats, it was if i was stuck to my seat. the only way of fixing it was to kill me and respawn.

 

Has this happened to anyone else? it happened probably 3 times last night and once today.

I think you might have slow internet? Or you may not be synchronising with the server properly. This never happens to me but sometimes during a lag spike I will stand by the door for a few seconds with my hand on the handle and not do anything. But after a few seconds pass my guy usually gets in the car. This is caused by the lag I believe. Not sure but it might be due to the vehicle having an owner so while you're going over to it and trying to open it, the game may be taking long to verify that it's yours, could be why you stand there with your hand on the handle.

 

I don't know really, but I think this is what causes it.

Well knowing how internet connection speed can factor many things in online games, I agree that could have been it. But I haven't had any unusual problems with my internet connection, I am also hardwired so wifi isn't the issue either. But if it was the problem i would definitely understand. Also it wasn't a personal vehicle, just a random car, so Idk if that factors into it.

Well maybe iv just been very fortunate since this has the first time it has happened to me. Also for the fact that it has happened 4 times since 1.10 has been out maybe the new car passenger settings is also messing with exiting a vehicle.

Bad internetz is usually the cause for this. Just like when you see the map loading in late. It's because someone in the session has sh*t internetz.

Had a situation where my friend would see me in the passenger seat even though I was in the driver seat. I had to get out of the car and enter through the passenger side to get into the driver seat. Once I did that he was able to see me in the driver seat and not the passenger seat. Seeing me in the passenger seat didn't allow him to get into the car. I can tell the problem is with the new vehicle access "Passengers" option. Did anyone else have similiar problem like the OP is having WHILE you were using the "Passengers" vehicle access option?

Well again I can always agree that it could have been the connection, but when I was with him it was just us, neither of us were lagging, and then when i tried again today it happened for a fifth and sixth time when i was in a invite only session with just myself!

Now that you mention it that could have been the factor when i think about it. I can not say if my friend was using the new feature when i tried to get in because he is kinda a slower player and plays maybe once a week at most, so its unlikely he had it set to something different than everyone. When i got on earlier again i tried to replicate the situation and i did narrow it down to 2 things; 1. i never happened while trying to enter the driver door, only the passenger side would do it, i was unable to test to see if the back doors of a 4 door car changed it since i was testing alone. I tested with random cars. It never happened on the initial break in, but it happened for the fifth time after i shot a gun then immediately tried entering a car (probably the 20th time i entered the car after shooting then exiting the driver side and running to the passenger side), and again the sixth time after about fifty attempts of just entering. I also wasn't sure if my car accesses was set on everyone, no one, or passenger to be honest and that could be the key. Maybe it is that or maybe the fact that just lag compensated into the server or something.
