Base Invaders. From the Phone and the Job List?

Ron sent out a Base Invaders and I figured I would take the oppurtunity for some easy cash. I completed it smoothly enough on Hard and raked in a cozy 37k.

 

That was pretty nice, so I thought I'd do it again. I start it up from the Job menu this time, complete it on Hard, but only get 18k. Confused, I called him and requested the job, to see if that might result in the 37k payout again. Unfortunately, it did not.

 

Did it a few more times, still 18k. Which is still nice, but that 37k...

 

Am I missing something? Where did that extra money come from?

The first time you do a mission, you get the 'full' reward. In this case 37k. After the first time, all subsequent repeats of that mission will give you 50% of that amount. So in this case 16k or so.

 

No reason other then to balance how much cash people earn from missions. Dangle a juicy carrot, then take it away...

I played with a level 533 once. We played Rooftop Rumble. I got $18750 and he got $37500.

 

I don't know why some people get x2 money...

BI consistently gives you about 2900 RP on "hard" solo which isn't bad (63 kills at 25 RP each + 1325 RP for completion). Not killing the tank at the end after you steal the cargobob saves you $2500 for 5 RPG rockets not used.

Who "kills" a tank in Base Invaders??!!!

 

Blow up the 3 Lazers, rush into the hanger, hop in the Cargobob, and take off. Quick simple easy.

No. You can only do it once to get the full payout. Any time after this will result in a half pay out. Sometimes it has been rumoured amongst my extended peer group that if you don't do a mission for a long while, when the game updates it will wipe the cleared status from it so you can repeat the mission for the full payout again, but like before, only once.

I don't know if that is true though, but I do know you can only get the full payout for a mission once and it also doesn't matter what difficulty you do it on either. If you complete it on easy then you get the full payout, repeat it on hard? Still half.

Not in my list either and im a 145It recently got removed from a lot of people's lists who completed it for no reason,but I got it back because my friend hosted it for me.

Used to be the first time you did B.Inv. they gave you $25,000 even on hard mode.

I guess since the last update the first time on hard now gives the bonus as well. Happened to me yesterday after I hadn't played the game for about a week.. Only thing I don't understand though is that about an hour after I'd done it on my own and got 37,500 I did it again with one of my crew mates and they gave me 37,500 again!? tried it again a while later and was back to 18,750 though. Curious ness

anyone on ps3 wanna get this started and invite me in? i had it on my mission list right after the 1.10 update, but it's not there now, and i hear if someone else invites me in and i finish it, it gets re-added? i'm rank 112 by the way so i kknow i'm high enough rank for it

 

 

forgot to add i can do it myself if you want, but i'm also a good team player with a mic

I can't stand the crackling and talking about random sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet..

Prefer to get engrossed in the game and having people chatting really pulls me out of the whole experience. not jelly, could easily buy one..

on another note can you now find the good missions from the start menu? used to be just coveted right..

i don't usually chit chat during missions, try to stay focused during them so i'm not the weak link, but in free roam i'll chat about whatever

 

yeah most or all of the contact missions got added to the pause menu from 1.10

This is likely because he has either hacked or been on a dns to get that level and it was maybe his first time doing a job.

 

Strange on the 37.5k Base Invaders payout because I have got it 2-3 times since updating. Not recently tho. I was so excited with how quick I thought i'd be raking in the stacks with that mission.

If you have an alternate character, the first time they do it you get the full pay too. I only just realised this on the weekend so I've been redoing all the big missions with the other character.

 

Also, the first time pay thing can be glitchy. A crew member keeps getting double pay for jobs when he plays with us even though he's done all the missions hundreds of times.
