This poll needs a massive overhaul. Too many options, too broad. Lexus and Scion shouldn't be available. Many of the American and VW brands should be combined (like VW, Skôda, and Seat). The whole thing is just a clusterf*ck of a poll.

Remove the poll and let's talk about what is our favorite.

Ex Hellraiser

I would've voted Ford for US, but in the last couple years, they've made their cars all look the same. Nearly identical styling across all the cars, just different body styles and configurations anymore. The new Mustang doesn't look anything more than a sportier coupe version of a Fusion... At least Dodge still has some variation in looks (as well as the Ram being Motor Trend TOTY last 2 years)

Pretty much but since the 70s mustangs have had quite bad styling

Holden aren't European.

Mini aren't a manufacturer but a sub-brand of BMW.

Vauxhall are a sub-brand of Opel.

Holden is Australian.

I only voted for Ford as my favourite US manufacture, because they are the least worst.

My vote for Citroën is most referring to old Citroëns, back when they were ahead of the rest.

I think this poll needs a serious overhaul if it's going to be revived, along the lines of SingingEwe954's suggestion.

But first, is anyone actually interested in the results of this poll? If so I can re-launch it.

You mean the SM? I'd also say the CX is a good (if not great) Citroën, in its own way. It managed to be so different from the DS and yet so unique.

Chevy has my vote, then Subaru, then of course, BMW.

I always thought Fisker was European, though.

Well, Henrik Fisker who founded it is Danish, but he founded it in California. So make of that what you want.

Ahh, thanks for that. Shouldn't Hennessey be on here, though? I mean I know they're a tuning corporation but, they did make the Venom.

Also, what about RUF?

Chevy. LSs all the way.

BMW because of their ///M models, 8 series and older 7 series models

Nissan because of their Fairlady Z, Silvia, Cedric/Gloria, President and of course GTR lineups. The R390 is also wicked.

Tesla isn't on the list by the way.

My votes are for vehicles 2013/4 and newer. Here's my thoughts in the spoilers

NORTH AMERICA

The only GM brand I like is cadillac. Most of the other north american GM vehicles are fugly as hell or just plain trash. There are some ugly caddies, but most look nice

Fiat is ruining Jeep, so thats out of the picture

Ford makes nice cars....for Europe

Lincolns are plain ugly as hell these days, thats out too

GMC= double priced chevy vehicles. nothing special here

Pontiac was going to be the performance division of GM but the bailout f*cked them over. They did have some nice models near the end (excluding the Grand Am 6 or G6 to you noobs). They had such great potential but nope.....

Who the hell owns a mercury these days? its becoming the new Hummer

Hummer. H1 = great. Everything else = trash

Oldsmobile...........oldsmobile......they were cut in '06. Most of the vehicles from them were very bland

Buick. overglorified versions of European/Canadian vehicles. Most are ugly except for the Regal (there's an opel version for europe). They try to market towards younger crowds, but fail miserably

Saturn = NA Vauxhall. they were nice-ish

RAM. IMO the best looking pickup in the current lineup of pickups. They should bring back the SRT-10

Plymouth (see oldsmobile but cut earlier)

Fisker. Im pretty sure the only ones in Michigan are sitting on the property of the company I work for. They look great though

Chrysler. still makes some nice vehicles. Great if you want a luxury car and dont want to spend $2542546231 for one

My vote is tied at chrysler and Cadillac, but Im going with Cadillac on this one

EUROPE

Jaguar. luxurious, sexy

Fiat. no.....Just no

Lambo- rebodied audi's

Audi- rebodied VW's (lol JK) they're amazing

BMW- ehhh. they have some good looking cars, but they have some real ugly ass ones too

Bentely. Big, luxurious bricks

Saab. one of my favourite GM brands (when it existed)

Alfa romeo. no opinion since they are a rare species in america

Bugatti. 1 car. 50 versions

Fiat again. Didnt change my opinion OP :)

Porsche. cool

Volvo. Love the station wagons

Opel. British vauxhall

Rolls Royce. Even more luxurious, brickier bricks

Merc. Great cars. great germanness

Land rover. commonly driven by d-bags that cannot drive

Citroen. no opinion. no vote

Aston martin. nice

Seat. no opinion. no vote-o

Peugeot (see citroen)

Maserati (is owned by Fiat BTW).

VW. own err thang. same NA lineup for the past 25 years...

Mini. not anymore

My vote goes to Audi

ASIA- this one's the easiest

Toyota. no

Honda. no

Nissan. no

Mitsubishi. no

Mazda. Japanese ford. no

Hyundai. no

Kia. no

Isuzu. no

BYD. no

Chery. no

Hong Qi. what? no

Subaru. Vote

Scion. i voted already. but no

Lexus. nope :)

subaru

Voted Chevy for American because I own 2 of them. It's really a hard choice between Chevy, Ford and Dodge though because I like Chevy for their trucks and Ford and Dodge for their cars(I love my Maverick even though it's still a hunk of sh*t til it gets restored and the 69' Charger R/T is my dream car). Keep in mind that my opinion is based off of 1990 vehicles or older for the most part, I'm not really a fan of most new vehicles from any American manufacturer with the exceptions of the Camaro, Silverado, Mustang, and Challenger as they've brought back/kept the retro styling for the most part.

For European I chose Lamborghini solely because of the Countach, Miura and Diablo I'm not much of a Euro or Asian car guy so it's harder to pick a favourite from those categories.

As for Asian I voted Toyota because of the Supra, Corolla AE86, older model Hilux(like the Top Gear Indestructible Hilux), and FJ40.

If we are talking about present day cars then definitely ford in the US, but these models are also sold in Europe, as for the European brand then Renault is fantastic, these cars are very sexy, especially an all new Espace. some other brands are overrated, sorry

POLL RESET

Due to the cannibalistic nature of the automotive industry, I have redesigned this poll to be about contemporary auto groups for consumer vehicles. Anyone who voted must vote again (Use the 'Delete my vote' option).

Given doing the poll from a purely business point of view is a very dry, grey area and makes the poll lose much of its meaning, I have used my discretion in some areas. The following points have already been taken into consideration:

- Fiat's stake in Chrysler

- Renault's stake in Nissan

- Daimler AG's stake in Nissan-Renault

- Toyota's stake in Subaru

- Ford owns Mazda, but I have included Mazda separately anyway for the brand's strength

- Similarly Jaguar Land Rover (owned by Tata) included separately

- Motorbikes and/or heavy trucks brands have been ignored (e.g. Hero Honda, Hayabusa, Scania etc)

- More Chinese automakers will only be included on request as they are far too numerous, not very notable and will dilute the poll otherwise

I will happily take any other points I have neglected into consideration if you post them here.

- BMW group added

Durr, I was bound to miss one of the obvious ones. Lotus is very small volume so I'll add it if you specifically want to vote for it.

I voted for GMC because it's my 'favourite' but Ford makes better cars and is a much more successful business.

All Scions are rebadged Toyotas.

xA = ist

xB = bB

tC = Zelas (not sold in Japan)

xD = ist

iQ =iQ (lol)

FR-S = GT86

I will not be featuring Zastava because Fiat is in the list, only companies with mostly original models being produced today qualify or the list becomes dilute and meaningless like it was last time.

Edit: Wow, I think the polling system is broken:

The star means I have voted for it...yet there are 0 votes.
