Advanced Dogfighting Tips?

I'm looking for tips beyond "use your cannons," etc. I've watched several Jet guides on youtube. In Jet deathmatches, until my last match, I had been undefeated and had gone 10-0 three times in a row. But in the last match, I was schooled pretty good.

 

The guy seemed to be better at getting behind me. Obviously, once everyone's using cannons and everyone's a decent shot, it's going to all come down to who can get behind the other. I definitely need to improve in this area. Any advanced tips?

My first try at Air Superiority game mode still gives me nightmares lol.

 

First rule of dogfighting is: Do a barrel roll.

I never use cannons and I still own. I have never lost a dogfight and I have a lot of them. Ok ok, I have lost a couple... but really I win 99.9% of the time.

 

The key is to wait and be patient. See what kind of moves the other pilot does before trying to shoot him down. Once you notice his pattern, then it's all timing from there.... lock on and shoot your missile first missile... the first missile usually misses, but the other key is to NOT immediately fire your second missile... your second missile is the one that's going to take him down.... you just have to make sure you fire it at the right moment, while he is dodging the first missile.

 

OR

 

You can fire one missile at a time and see HOW he dodges it and learn from that

 

As far as getting behind the other pilot....... when you're trying to get behind, your air plane can make much more sharper turns when you use the top triggers.
