How Have Some Players Still Got Over $500.000.000 In Cash

Unrestricted ability to place unwanted multi-million/billion dollar bounties on other players in FM.

All those other things you listed don't directly affect your gameplay. Your just jelly.

And as for that reason. That isn't possible. Any bounty over 9k will still only be 9k to my knowledge. R* fixed that after the wipe.

Cheaters and hackers didn't "f*ck up the economy" R* did by releasing this game with enough exploits to label this game a beta...There's ALWAYS going to be people with more money in-game than you. Whether they glitched, grinded, or paid irl cash for it. Get over it. Oh wait you have cause you still play lol...

I was referring to all the reasons which made the maintenance sweep and recent 1.10 necessary.

I don't know about you, but during Christmas--when the cheater/hacker inmates finally took over the GTAO asylum--FM was in one seriously FUBAR state.

The degree of hacking and glitching around the holidays finally approached the lunacy factor. You couldn't go anywhere in a public session without someone placing a multi-billiion dollar bounty on you. Or gifting you unwanted multi-millions...

I suspect this (and the floods of ticket complaint threads at RGSC) was what finally made R* get off their asses and start cleaning up the game.

Oh man I enjoyed the f*ck out of Christmas lol. It was always pure chaos. I sniped soo many tanks around that time and even collected a 1bil bounty after chasing him with 6 other players for 30 minutes

Modders are still around, they just don't gift money to people anymore.

They learned what happens when they do.

Instead they drive by and throw what seems like firecrackers which causes your vehicle to start bouncing all over the place before being launched into the sky and blown up while there.

how cant people see that the existence of hackers and hacked money devalues the hard work put in by legit players? it's a multi-player game, the idea of 'quit worrying about how other people play their game and mind your own business' is ridiculous. by all means go hack a single player game, but the multi-player is for everyone and hacking affects everyone. However, this isn't actually the reason I dislike cheaters, as I achieve progress in games for my own benefit, not to show off or claim bragging rights, the actual reason I dislike cheaters is purely on a personality basis, people who cheat in video games are 4 or 5 times more likely to be dishonest IRL, that is not a desirable or admirable trait.

on a slightly separate note, as a general rule, games stay engaging and stimulating for a lot longer for legit players.

just throwing my two pence in.

It's a game. If you consider any of it work, .... I don't know. Get a job maybe?

BTW, What orifice did you pull that stat out of?

I have a job thanks. I used the word 'work' on the basis that I thought anyone reading would understand that I meant the time and effort spent, within the context of the game. also, I didn't realise I put 'video games', but there has been research into the relationship between cheating in games and cheating in real life, with a correlation stating around 4 or 5 times more likely, studied it in college around 8 years ago so on't have a source.

Time and effort spent in a game should be enjoyable and not really classified as work, more recreation. Regardless, if you're happy with what you've done or "accomplished" what does it matter what someone else has? I don't get competitive nature in vidja games. Guess it's just me.

Damn, a whole bunch of people asking me the same question over and over after I'd already answered it in a later post on the first page... Learn to read people, seriously, I'm not going to bother repeating myself.

i have enjoyed playing it, but its still took time and effort to get to the level of progression I'm at, are you saying you wouldn't be pissed off if you lost your save game data and had to start again? also, it's a multi-player game, they work on the basis on competitive play.

cheaters and hackers saying 'it shouldn't affect you', well it does. surely we get to decide what does and doesn't affect us?

If I lost my character, yes, that would be bothersome.. If someone is higher level than me, or has more money, or a better car, or is better looking, or smells better......

No, not so much. 0 f*cks Given.

Even after the reset some players still have a huge some of cash which you can easily find out on Gta5 Stats. Is it a case they have gone under the radar or have they found some new Glitch.

Some people gotta be rich, some people gotta be poor. I can guess which one you are.

Don't fault the rich because they are better then you, just accept the fact that you have betters and you need to respect that. :)

I do see where you're coming from, but hacking does devalue a lot of people's sense of accomplishment. also, stuff like GOD mode and low levels in tanks actually did directly affect legit player's enjoyment of the game. I, for one, am very glad R* have made this a major priority to rid the game of hackers and cheaters, even if there motives are for cash card sales.

Would also like to point out, im happy this conversation stayed very civilised, makes a change on this forum.

yeah, isn't that ironic.

When the modders were all like "Power to the people" and "Make it rain", R* took immediate action, that was harsh and swift.

But as long as they are running around acting like elitest, douchbags, you know like REAL rich people, R* doesn't give a sh!t.

and the morality of modding suddenly goes out the window.
