Where can you pick up a hammer?

I was wondering if anyone could help me by telling me where I can pick up a hammer in GTA Online? I have the other 7 melee weapons and would like the hammer as well. I tried getting my friend to hold his while I killed him but I couldn't pick it up once he dropped it, so that doesn't work.

I'm on the PS3. I think other than dropping it for someone, as oppose to killing them and picking it up, might be the only way to give it to someone.

 

I'm aware that it's in the special edition but I know you can pick one up from at least one place on the map without having to have the special edition.

There is at least one place that you can pick it up without having and special edition, just like the crow bar or golf club. Two of my friends picked it up somewhere but they forgot where as it was ages ago. I was wondering if anyone knew where this place or places might be.

Although I didn't state it in the title, I did state in my original post that I was looking to pick one up in GTA Online, not real life. I expected at least one DIY store related joke but come on guys, do people really need to keep posting the same sh*t joke.

 

I know there is a place you can pick one up, if you can't help with that location then please don't post in this thread.


You need Special -or Collectors Edition

You can pick it up without either as well though. I know this because a few of my friends have a hammer but they just own the normal edition game.

I've not got the crowbar. Is this just picked up in free-roam?

Yeah, you can pick the crowbar up in free roam and/or a deathmatch that has one. I have a created deathmatch called 'Boiler Room Brawl' if you start that up you can pick one up there. There is also one at the pier if I remember correctly.

I don't know anyone with the collectors edition unfortunately. Does anyone on the PS3 want to help me with this?

As a Collector myself, I can verify that you can get the hammer from a CE holder, but you cannot keep the guns. You'll be able to pick up and use the Pistol .50 and Bullpup Shotty, but you won't be able to buy ammo once you run out.

There's 7 others? Are you including fists as a weapon? I only have 6 others not including my fists and chuck norris round house.

 

I raised a suggestion with R* to allow colour tinting of melee and explosive weapons like they have with guns. Would be so awesome to have a gold golf club or baseball bat. Also imagine how insulting it would be to be blown up with a pink sticky bomb.
