The weapon that is, not the ban ;)

 

Anyway I just discovered today that I have the hammer in my online inventory, but I don't remember ever picking it up or anything :S anybody else got one?

 

(And is anyone willing to give me the deagle if it's possible?)

WHAT!? My friend tried to drop me a hammer yesterday and it vanished and I couldn't see it or pick it up from the floor. You must have picked it up ages ago without realising! If you got it last night I will be so angry because I couldn't get it.

The hammer is the only CE weapon normal edition people can keep for good when they pick it up. Oh my god, wankers.

You may of killed a player who had it equiped and he/she dropped it, you go for the cash and collected the hamer. Well thats how I got mine.

Meh, it's OP anyway, speed of a knife, but twice as powerful :S I'm just gonna use my crowbar instead (I have all 8 melee weapons now lol)

Hammer is SE not CE.

 

Its the only reason I went with SE lol.

 

That said, I was instantly happy with my SE once I got it home then realised it has a metal case etc..

No but I mysteriously lost my Carbine, and Advanced Rifle after a mission, and I did not drop them. Lucky for me those Merryweather guards at the dock always have a fresh supply. Just had to repurchase my ammo.

Since when do merry weather carry advanced snipers?

Advanced Rifle. Not the sniper, The MTAR-21. As far as them being equipped with the Standard Sniper rifle, the AWSM, yes one sometimes two of them are armed when the gang attack at the Merryweather drydock is active.

Agh right, my mistake :S

 

I don't like the advanced rifle anyway, I only use the Carabine (for accuracy) and the sweeper.

No, Hammer is SE AND CE. My friend has the SE and he has the hammer, bullpup shotgun and the .50 cal. He just doesn't have the cars. Well it's one of them, the one without the cars. I don't know because I don't own either.

I'm an M4 / HK-416 lover myself, but the MTAR is very accurate, and the rate of fire is slightly higher than the Carbine, I swap between the 2.

I'm on PS3, but I don't know if once you leave the session after you pick it up, if you'll be able to keep it. What I have noticed is they locked it into my weapon wheel, I tried dropping it a few times and it wouldn't let me

Only shotgun I have on my wheel is the Assault, yea the Bullpup is crap, the sawed off is much better, if I were to ever keep a second one. But I like my weapon wheel clutter free.

I don't know about NOW, but it must be the time of the beach-bum pack, my buddy dropped the DE .50 & i could pick it up. Sadly after this session it wasn't in my inventory anymore.

Hammer can be dropped by special/collectors ed. owners and others can pick it up and keep it. Not sure about what might have changed with patches, but if you are in a mission with an ally who has CE/SE, they should be able to drop it and you should be able to pick it up and keep it. You can also pick up the other CE/SE stuff but it will vannish when you go offline.
