Selling car over 50k now possible?

Not sure if this has been covered already, I had a quick search but didn't see anything.

Anyway, Ive had a fully modded 9f that I bought with the stimulus package, so had it quite a while.

In the past Ive never been able to sell it due to being worth over 50k, yet last night I tried with no glitching or any funny business and it allowed me to sell it for around 167,000$.

Im so glad I tried one last time, because I was about to cut my losses and just replace it!

Other people can't sell randomly modded cars anymore that's all I know because lately iv been tryin to give away money and rockstar made it hard

Checked to see how much my Roosevelt would go for and it's over 400 g's. Must be all the glitchers complaining.

Ive since tried 2 other cars and both are capped at 10k.

At first I thought it was because it is a bought car, but surely I shouldn't be able to sell it due to it being from a really early patch?
Oh well, it did sell so thats all that matters

I was just curious to see what my feltzer would sell for and it said 165,000

My adder sells for +600k but sometimes only 90k

Today I went with my Stinger GT to LS Customs to see if I could sell it and I was surprised when I got more than 500.000$ for it!

the 10k cap is only for cars stolen off of the street and that you are able to give to other players to sell... If you buy a high ticket car off of the web you can still get half the value plus mods.

This. You steal it off the street and max you can get is 10k regardless of mods added to it. Buy it from online and you can sell for 50% of car value and mods. 10k stolen car cap has been since 1.10 and selling bought cars from 1.08 of 07 I think.

So maybe now a bought car of any age can be sold for over 50k? That what I'm trying to get at

Last night I sold my Feltzer for 228k. Was getting sick of it and it was obsolete compared to my other cars. Want to replace it with a good 4x4. Might go back to Sandking.

Ok sorry. Yeah if you had purchased a car pre 1.07 ( I think) you could not sell it. Any car bought post that you could sell it back to LSC. Looks like they have allowed all cars bought to be sold back again. Good to know actually as I have a few cars like that. Not that I really plan to sell them but that must be something they changed in 1.10.

I had duplicated my garage pre-patch and sold off the originals. The duplicates gave the $50,000 message, unsellable

 

Since the patch, they are sell-able again
