How much money do you get for sea races?

Since R* said the payout is tripled during the weekend, I was curious to how much you do get?

I think just the same as normal races, depending on the length of course.

Yeah, for your average sea race, the payout if currently 3 times your average road race.

 

Still faster money and RP to do missions etc.

For the weekend, sea races have a 3x cash multiplier. As of now, I believe that the sea race Canal Passage with 4 other players will pay about $40,230 for the winner and $16K for the second place...so on. Still, missions are a better way to earn money quickly (the sea race I mentioned will take about 5 minutes to complete). Completing a mission on hard the first time, after patch 1.10, will grant double the cash out. Example; Defender, Rooftop Rumble, Base Invaders and some higher level missions will give about 30K for completing. The mission Coveted also now pays more money on hard difficulty. Amounting to 18K for completing it. There is currently a Coveted playlist somewhere on the forums if you want to check that out. It will be really helpful because it skips the need to wait for insanely long loading times and having to go back into a session, pausing the game, hosting Coveted and waiting for even more loading times. Done Gone Coastal (I think its called that), a point to point boat race, with myself and 3 others. First place won about 33k. I came second, got 8k.

I've been making bank off the sea race cash bonus this weekend. I made a race, takes about 6 min. With 8 people payout was 1-48k 2-33k 3-22k 4-11k 5-10k 6-9k 7-8k 8-7k. 8 was the most racers there was in any of the races, so I can only imagine what 16 would pay out

We played a bunch last night. 3 of us in a 6 lap, 9 min race payed 27k, 18k and 11k. Yeah you can grind the usual missions but you can do that any time, it's nice to get paid for something different for once. Only done a few sea races before and it's a good change of pace. Just a shame we couldn't select the Marquis when we fancied something a bit more laid back.

My 6 min race with two people first gets $16k and second gets 11k

If you're already a decent rank, it's probably more efficient to just do missions tbh. I did a few solo boat races last night, just to see and while the results were alright, I could have been spending my time doing other things by myself and ending up with more money.
