I'm sitting at $827,000. That's the most I've ever had at hand due to constantly upgrading vehicles, buying weapons/ammo, goofing around rather than doing jobs, etc.

I was, but then I started grinding Coveted pre-1.10; however, after moving into the Weazel Plaza apartment from Alta Street, my account was in the four-digits, so I decided to use the Xbox Live gift card my brother bought me for Christmas on a $3m cash card. Didn't plan on using it for anything else (I only buy physical copies of games) and it wasn't my money Rockstar was getting. I probably won't spend any of it in one sitting though; I plan on buying more clothes as I level up and unlock more as well as further upgrades for my PV's once I win a few more races.

Why are there so many broke players?

 

I'm not entirely sure.

Reckless spending, perhaps? Stocking up on ammunition seems to be one of the greatest expenses. It costs about $45k just to fill your ammunition from 3/4th capacity, and most people I know always begin a session with filling their ammunition capacity. I never do - I haven't purchased ammunition in weeks and I still have around 2k rounds in each category.

 

There's also the cost of destroying PV's, since Lord knows 98% of GTAO players do it like it's going out of style. In addition, there's also vehicle customisation. I had a nasty habit of sell-buy-customise-get bored-repeat and my bank account went down faster than a five dollar ho.

Very true...and the clothes are priced as if they came from Express or Banana Republic, but some of them look like they were taken out of a rubbish bin.

The economy is a joke anyway. When players stop having money or things to buy/goals, everyone just gonna stop playin. Fk cash cards.

I have roughly 5.4 million... Just keeps going down and down since I use 25 sticky bombs every session and I blow up numerous PV's on almost any given session. I rarely conserve ammo.

 

When its gone Ill enjoy working for it again, no problem.
