So I would imaging cargobobbing a pv to a gas station and lighting the jerrycan trail with an exploded pump will work too.

 

I tried abandoning a cargobob towing a pv above the ocean and I had to pay.

 

And doing that during a coop mission is really lame ass man.

I think that's just smart-arse greifers who unload their cash on their second character and then go apesh*t in a tank with their first character...someone has to pay for it, and since they have no cash that someone is you. Seems like a bit too much effort to be considered a prick really IMO...

You can, i do it all the time if someone annoys me. Just drive over them and park ontop of them. Then they die, lose money which you can steal.

or griefing if that's how you put it.You pour it over someone's vehicle and ignite it with your vehicle's backfire,they have to pay the insurance.I just tried it four times in missions,not sure if it works in freemode.

 

What would you do if someone did this to your super car?

 

If someone did this to me I'd be annoyed but only think I could do is pay the insurance and switch lobbies to avoid whoever did it the first time doing it again.

all over the car especially the front part,it's where the engine is.Then pour some more on the ground.Ignite with your vehicle's backfire.The vehicle will now start taking damage and when the flames are gone it'll blow up.

Destroying a PV:

 

with a jerry can trail + car exhaust backfire = Bad sport and insurance

 

with a jerry can trail + gas pump explosion = Bad sport and insurance

 

Dropping pv into ocean from cargobob = Bad sport and insurance

I was on the Stocks and Scares mission.I pushed someone's JB 700 into the water with my infernus,had to pay the insurance.

So this is confirmed,I'm waiting on others.

I wonder if insurance/BS guilt works differently when on a mission.

 

all the test ive done is in free roam. the problem I have is by the time ive located and set up the pv destruction the owner has left session already.

 

What we need is a really good solid GTA: Mythbusters style video, showing every way possible of destroying a PV and if you are charged each way.

 

 

I wonder if putting a NPC vehicle beside the target PV then blowing up the NPC vehicle with a jerry can trail lit from a gas pump..... lol

 

How much of a Rube Goldberg machine would we have to set up before we don't get charged for a PV?

The last few times I did the jerry can trick it gave me BS warnings but that has been a while. It was just after the 1.09 patch I think. I did drop two PV's into the ocean from a cargobob one after the other and I didn't get a warning and that was only two days ago.

Jerry can trolling definitely no longer works! HOWEVER. I have found a much easier and quicker method of trolling.

 

Simply shoot a PV till it catches fire then wait for it to explode. You will NOT have to pay insurance/badsport if it explodes by itself after it catches fire. Sometimes the fire will go out. Just shoot a few more times to spark it up again then stop. Dont ever do this with the AP pistol. It tends to cause instant explosions.

It seems to work in the impound lot, but not so much at the mors Mutual lot!. I think you might have to be out of sight by the time it blows

Drive their car to the petrol station, throw grenade to explode the pump furthest from the car, boomage!

Get your most expensive car, go to where people are on foot. Cover your car with gas, hide behind and start shooting the others, when they shoot back and hit your car, hope they hit the gas and setting it on fire, flee to avoid the explosion, wait for the boom, and they get to pay for it,
