Here's an idea.....REVERSE BOUNTIES (Good Samaritan)!

Tell me what ya think of this...

You're a brand new player to the game, go to rob your first store out of the tutorial, and JimBob, a level 75, meets you at the door honking his horn on his Entity. You hop in and he shows you a great hiding spot from the cops.

You COULD go in and "commend" this act, but hell, does that even do anything? Anyone?

What if you could make a call, and make it so that anyone that kills this dude has to pay a special "Good Samaritan" fee for killing this guy? I'm thinking a no money out of your pocket call that would add like a $500 penalty, per player call, to the cost an aggressor would have to pay for killing the Good Samaritan player.

Give the "Good Samaritan" player a green dot on the map, rather than a red dot. Better yet, no special dot, and then when the other player has to pay extra for killing this dude, imagine his reaction!

Also, you want to put a bounty on the Good Samaritan? You can, but you'll first have to cover the Good Samaritan charge, THEN you can put a bounty on them.

I can see clans making "Good Samaritan" bombs...load up a guy with calls, and the dude that kills him pay like $9000...heck, almost like an anti-griefer strategy?

Have an obnoxious TANK cruising at random? Send in a few Good Samaritans!!!

It'd have to be more like $5000, or even $50k, to deter attackers. I'd pay $500 to kill a player without hesitating.

I do like the idea, but imagine what someone could do with that penalty... Pretty easy to abuse.

i think it would be better if the person that kills the "good samaritan guy" would get a bounty on his head worth the same value instead of paying the amount and if you actually paid the samaritan fee from your pocket. Otherwise some people would abuse that with some friends and then go killing and pissing off everybody. For example, imagine a guy in a tank with a "reversed bounty" killing everyone and when you finally manage to get rid of him, you would have to pay 9000$ for that. It would piss me off haha. I'd prefer having a bounty on my head worth the same value instead.

A good saritian is someone that does something good, and expects nothing in return.

A bunch of greedy kids could easily take this and abuse it totally ruining your good intentions.

Not sure if you could really call someone who helps criminals get away a good samaritan. Helpful, yes, but not good samaritan.

I like the idea.. but like everybody else said, it can easily be abused.

Now they need something like this for killing Passive Mode players. R* just made it so a Passive Mode murderer pays our medical bill, but it isn't even significant enough to dissuade killing them. Along with the medical bill, they deserve bounties and Bad Sport for killing an unarmed/defenseless person..

Ummm...abuse...how???

YOU pay for killing a Good Samaritan.

The only downside I can see is a crew loading up a guy with Good Samaritan points, and then goading someone into killing that person. I think it would actually serve them right in this scenario, but that's just my opinion.

Maybe if the Good Samaritan could lose that status by killing another Good Samaritan. Or even killing another "innocent" (i.e. non-Good Samaritan player).

Picture this scenario....for every 15 minutes game time you play, without killing another PLAYER, you earn 500 Good Samaritan points. So, you play 2 hours with crew, without killing one of them, you have 4000 Good Samaritan points. So, the next player that kills you pays $4000 in medical bills. Can you see someone doing races for 2 hours, then popping out of the race, and costing the person that kills them $4000?

How about this, for every 15 minutes game time you play, without killing another PLAYER, we take 1 weapon away and give you new clothes? In a few hours you'll be playing The Sims....

I'd happily trade any of my weapons in for camo clothes and boots. Course, I have 1.5 mil so I can just buy the weapons right back anyways.

On topic, good idea OP. Implementation just needs to be smoothed out. There SHOULD be some kind of small punishment for killing a good samaritan player or a passive mode player. (more than $300 dollar medical expenses, that's pathetic)

I like the part where you would get a green blip if you get commended but ther rest seems a little too complicated but it'd be nice to know who's a good player who won't kill you and if you killed a green blip it should make your blip red or another color so players know who's good and bad
