The Mechanic after 1.10

I know it's a small detail, but I don't like how the Mechanic doesn't deliver my cars anymore. I feel like the cars spawn too far away sometimes. He was annoying and all but most of the time he delivered the car right in front of us, not 2 block away... What do you guys think of the Mechanic after 1.10??

Honestly, even though he was a dick sometimes, I liked him and he gave me some really good laughs. RIP mechanic 2013-2014.

I liked him because he drop of the car in front of me. Also it was running (+3 Secs time saving) Now I have to run 5 minutes to get to my car + start it!

 

Rockstar fixed everything what was good, and leave out bad things.

I went to the garage way out at the northwestern part of the map there, and low and behold, who was standing outside the garage between the two bay doors, but the Mechanic.

 

Immediately, I thought, "awww, I kind of miss his character," while promptly driving my Sandking into his stomach. Yeah, it was still fun!

It would be pretty awesome, If your mechanic walked around with a notepad in your garage, saying all kinds of stuff to save himself some profit. Also a caliente latina housekeeper would be neat!

Sometimes I wouldn't even hurt the guy, but if he ever took the long route, or got out and back in, or (God forbid) scratched the paintwork, or parked too far away...

Ah, I'll miss the ol' Mechanic. Him and I had some good times and some bad times. Sometimes he would bring me my car with no problems, and other times he would get mad and beat the sh*t out of me for no reason when I was trying to get in my car. Once, I actually done something I never I would EVER do......

 

I was feeling a little evil one day, and decided to play a little "prank" on him, you know, just to get revenge for that time he drove my car all the way around the country before delivering it to me. I called in my Bugatti, so he could have a little fun, fast drive on the way. He pulled up, leaped out of the car, and before he could do anything, I shot him full of holes with my AP Pistol, and he flew to the ground. In his last dying breaths, he looked up at me with the saddest face, and said "Sheeee's purring!", in which I proceeded to blow his face off with a shotgun. I felt awful, and after that incident, I treated him with my full respect, so long as he did the same.

 

R.I.P Mechanic, 2013 - 2014.

Trust lazy ol' R* to remove the AI completely instead of fixing it.

F*ck, thinking about how much the mechanic goes through, driving miles and miles only to walk home after delivering you car, I would have quit if I was only paid $50.

Although he wasn't around long the mechanic will always be a staple in the game's history. Many good times starting missions to see everybody just kill him after he dropped off the cars as an unwritten law of sorts.

 

TBH & IMO this seemed like a small step back, would think it to be an improvement in patch notes if say "Mechanic now actually personally drives car instead of appearing out of thin air as soon as you look away seemingly driving itself.

 

The way it is now there should not be any mechanic at all, stupid being able to hear him on the phone/get calls from him and never even see the guy. No point in having it.

Funny. You don't know what you got till it's gone. - We wished the Mechanic gone and now look what's happened. Becareful what you wish for, because you might just get it all and then some you don't want.

Bye bye Johnny on the spot. You can only be heard and not seen anymore. You have been hidden away due to the possibility of you being so good and able to duplicate cars for us. Heck you could even deliver a twin of my car even although it was impounded.

You had your faults occasionally, but overall you did an excellent job. Fixing my vehicle before it even got properly into my garage. That's some magic right there.

You were always beaten up, set on fire, killed etc., but not once did you complain. Hell you even got a few good punches in yourself.

You will be missed Johnny. The new auto mechanic has no character, but unfortunately it makes for less money glitches and better cash card sales.

 

RIP Johnny. Gone but never forgotten.

Think of the stories we will tell;...there was a time when an Actual Mechanic delivered your vehicles "What? I know.." I'm sure some won't even believe you..than...one day, he will be the stuff legends are made of, Its up to us now how his legacy is handled.
