Hmm, I wouldn't say the Buzzard has the same gunpower as the Lazer. But yeah I get your point. A new heli would be cool, as long as it's not too powerful.

 

IMO The buzzard easily takes out ground targets, and the lazer is better at taking out air targets. and yeah, a new heli would be great, and i agree i would like it as long as its not too powerful, like the annihilator.

Military gear is simply not gonna happen, BUT I completely agree when it comes to the Apache and the HMMWV. We could have lots of fun with these. And while they're at it R* can add a heatseeker that only locks onto police and military vehicles (also when players are in them). That way the tanks are history and no Apache misuse can come about.

The Hunter is on the Warstock Cache and Carry page and was likely a beta but was taken out, and the P-006 LAZER is the Hydras little brother. Also there was supposed to be a Humvee type of Patriot also and the Warstock LifeInvader page but was also justa beta

I wouldnt mind if they put in a couple Army Navy surplus stores where you could pick out some military style gear that is older like for hunting or as high as maybe some older model night vision or special scopes...but I dont want full on new military equipment. If I or you or whoever was the only criminal mastermind in town it might be pheasible that the right hiest or connections could aquire that sort of thing...but for all of the crims in town...nah I dont think so. Personally it applies to the Buzzard, Tank and Lazer also.

Im quite suprised that everytime someone brings up incorporating other games into gtao, that everyones "like go play BF3 or Cod or Forza" etc....how about maybe if rockstar had countermeasures against these new DLC items....example: Apaches with p-996 Lazer guns, could counter with SAMS or Javelins....for racing fans add more actual race tracks for people not just a horse track....for hunting lovers( this is obvious ) put animals in online...and even increased passive modes would be good too... more clothes and cars and vehicles will be put in, dont worry....also wouldnt you want all those little kids to get bored first so theres not so many trolls?....not saying all little kids are trolls though XD

Completely agree, Im more of a Forza guy, and having Vinewood racetrack the only one is sort of boring, however, I doubt they would incorporate any other race track in game without modifying the whole map. So that seems really unlikely

Since when it getting into the military base impossible? I almost never have an issue getting a jet from in there, unless there's other players following me to kill me and make their e-wanker feel bigger.

 

OP things aren't the problem. The problem is the players that use them in the wrong way.

I don't think it'd be any problem at all sir, the military AI is stupid, and it's easy to dodge homing missiles while flying a helicopter, almost as easy as when flying a jet.

All these ideas sound good. Personally, I like to role play as more of a hitman than a military soldier but it's always good to have options. This game has so much potential if they keep adding more and more options.

Erm, One could call Merryweather and customise a tactical team of 10. I would gladly purchase a merryweather team and customise them with the latest gear and guns, etc. When I need them I can just call merryweather and they would come rushing to my help. My very own Military Squad.

 

Your pretty much can do that without the customization and 6 men short and they always get their ass handed to them. if you need back up call up a buddy. When someone calls merc they just get targeted for reset of the server. At least i target them if the pull that s*it

There already is an army in the game, we don't need players as soldiers too.

those idea i agree with we need prone, being able to crouch would be great as well. Also silencers on weapons should work in open world. and cops shouldn't be able to see us behind a bloody wall. Yes theres a army in the game, yet there nothing to do with them. They are just there. we should be able to ambush convoy of theres at the very least like the armored car robberies. i could care less about the jets.

 

 

Hey guys! This is my first post on the GTA forums, Im usually a simulation racing guy, but every now and then I play GTA. I have a request/suggestion for a next update/DLC or something, I dont know how much Rockstar reads their Forums, so heres fingers crossed. And I can completely understand if any of these requsts are deemed not possible

 

I (along with my friends) have always wanted more military involvement in GTA online. So here are a Few I'd like to see

 

Military Gear

 

Special Ops Gear

 

The Apache Helicopter Back (2 Pilots, W/Rockets, Onboard camera & explosive cannonfire (like on the Lazer), both of which are operated/shot by the co pilot using the FLIR onboard.The Pilot controlles/flies the aircraft

 

HMMWV

 

 

 

Also

-Ability to Lay down while Firing a Weapon

-Button to open the back door on the Titan & Cargobob instead of having to punch/slam it open.

-Center the Hood view when using Vehicles

-First person in vehicles maybe?

-Increase how far cannons can hit their target off the Lazer

-Lazer needs a higher top speed/Bring back the Hydra

 

I know this sort of thing is what games like Battlefield is for, but heres the thing. I find GTA much more enjoyable!

Its open world we should be able to make our character to our preference, if its to be in dress whites so be it.

 

Full fledged military gear is taking it a bit far, but I'd like to see camo outfits and possibly a ghillie suit.

that would be interesting, but nukes be over used. defiantly need a zombie apocalypse in open world. not no surveil mode. allow use to control the servers to our settings and we can turn down the cops. or make it a voting option. We are running about with mini gun heavy machine-guns and assault rifles there are already reasons to have military grade equipment. could be released in heists depending on the type of heist.

I see where your coming from, but like I said in the OP, due to the fact that GTA is a lot more Open World, there are many more options you could do than BF4 and COD. Which in my honest opinion makes GTA a much more enjoyable game.

Now that I think of it, I dont think military gear in general should be too much of a challenge to incorporate into online, I mean, you already have full armor National Guard (or Army) uniform/gear from that 5 star bank hiest, and you also have a special ops outfit from singleplayer. It would also be cool for a diving suit as well

Humvee would not set foot in one of those. If I had a dollar for every Humvee the US Army/Marines had break down I'd be a millionaire. It's a horrible design:

 

- The framework is very very very weak, lots of parts rattle around. The terrain and roads in Afghanistan are bumpy and horrible. The bumpy ride causes the parts to scrape against each other causing damage. It was not uncommon for a part from the engine to come loose and fall out.

 

- The suspension is rubbish. You feel every single bump. Bruises your ass like hell. Not a comfy ride at all.

 

- It's a flat bottom ride, these are the worse ever. When they drive over an IED the shrapnel is directed upwards straight into the interior and engine. The engine breaks and they're stranded. Some of the shrapnel will also hit the crew. Our ASLAVs have a V shaped bottom this deflects shrapnel away from the interior and engine. These things can drive over IEDs and keep going, minor shake. Compared to the Humvee which will have its tyres blown apart and engine destroyed and possibly flipped.

 

- Tires. The Humvee is a poor choice for any environment, it is easy to get bogged or stuck. The tires melt and pop easily. Not to mention the nuts on the wheels are US standard. While every other country uses NATO standards. If say Australian soldiers have a blow out and need to be repaired any nearby Allied force x an help French, Denmark, British, New Zealand, South Africa. As all our tools are the same size standard. Whilst the US is built to their own standard so if they have a repair job in the field our tools won't fit their screws or nuts. Essentially we have to provide backup and cover them in the middle of the road while potential hostile forces could ambush us. We can't fit the extra troops in with us. We are all sitting ducks. Have to wait for a US Army or Marines unit show up with the right tools. Hell it could take hours. All we want is to fix their vehicle up and get the hell out of their. But we can't because our tools won't fit.
